The elevator makes it very convenient for groceries and members of the family who may have some mobility issues. There is an amazing lighted walkway that goes directly from the 2nd floor of the house to the dune top gazebo. Meaning that family members can watch the beach and ocean in the comfort of an ocean front gazebo without ever having to go up and down stairs! This is a rare find on the Outer Banks, so be sure to grab your favorite vacation week while it is still available! With plenty of outdoor spaces and seating as well as a very comfortable ocean front sunroom, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their vacation home.

Top Floor: Nicely appointed kitchen with breakfast bar (3 bar stool), dining area (seats 10), ocean front sunroom with beverage fridge & table (sets 4). Living Room (TV/ Stereo), deck access, 2 couches, 1 love seat and an oversized chaise lounge chair and amazing views in every direction. A sunset Deck, Queen bedroom with semi-private bath (door to bedroom and a door to the living room area). King Master Bedroom with TV and ocean front deck.

Middle Floor: Large game/ family room with ocean views, deck access, TV/Stereo, shuffleboard, bumper pool & multi - game table. Ocean Front master bedroom with 2 Twin beds, TV, deck access. Ocean Front Queen master bedroom with TV & deck access. Bedroom with 2 Twins & 1 Bunk and TV shares a full hall bath with Bedroom with a Queen bed and a Twin Bed and TV.

Extras: Elevator, Private lighted Beach Walkway to Dune top Gazebo, Game Room, Private Pool & Hot Tub (Memorial Day to Labor Day), Gas & Charcoal Grills, WIFI, Basketball, 8 TVs. Saturday Turn-Over Day. Bed Linens Provided & Beds Made, Ocean Front, No Pets, Parking for 5.

Cancellations: If, after your initial payment, you need to cancel your reservation, every attempt will be made to re-rent the property. All notices of cancellation must be in writing. If the property is re- rented at full price, you will receive a full refund of moneys paid, less a $150 cancellation fee, travel insurance premium (if purchased) and all applicable taxes. If the property is able to be re-rented, but at a discounted rate from what was paid, you will be refunded your rental payment, less the difference in the rental rate and the $150 cancellation fee. If the property is not able to be re-rented, you will forfeit all moneys paid to this reservation.

We had a wonderful vacation to the OBX! We stayed for 2 weeks and the house was perfect for our family of 10. Easy and private access to the beach, private pool, plenty of room. The ocean view from the deck was gorgeous - we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings at sundown. We'll be back!

Great location!

Down the Shore is ideally located. Even though we were there during high season, our stretch of beach was not crowded as public access was several houses away on both sides. We loved the easy walkway to the beach, and the oceanfront gazebo was a great spot for happy hour or early morning reading. The pool is a great amenity and the house was cozy and had everything we needed.

So hard to say goodbye

Wonderful house and location! Easy to get to food, shopping, and a few activities. But quiet, private, and beautiful. Saw dolphins most days. This was my mother's final trip to the beach this side of heaven, and the elevator, walk-out deck, and beach-view / pool-view deck made it the perfect place to bring her so she could take it all in and relax and be with us all there. It was very special and we'll never forget it as long as we live.

All great, except kitchen below expectations

Everything was great except kitchen which needs some updating. Refrigerator and freezer hard to properly close, no disposal, sink faucet only worked on spray setting, and setting on cook-top always showed hot, even when not in use. Furniture and beds all very comfortable and decorations are great. Elevator was very nice for arrival and departure. Pool and hot-tub well maintained.

Annual "10" vacation trip

The house provided us with all that we needed for Grandparents to take their two daughters' family on vacation. We do this every year to a different state. The ocean front was very nice as we ordered umbrellas and chairs to be delivered. The pool was great for relaxing and water gun fights. The table fit 10 well for eating together and lots of cards and games. We DID take a wild horse trip early one morning which was nice to do... but mostly we ate out and in , had ice ceream stops, a very good photography session withShooters and just spent time together.

Would stay here again!

Beautiful home, we had 15 in our party and it worked out great, perfect for what we needed. Management was very responsive by EMAIL (when I called their phone number, voicemail box was full). We had maintenance out a few times due to a toilet that kept running, sliding door that wouldn’t slide and the pool lights would not turn on (turns out the breaker for the pool filter was tripped as were the lights). Pool maintenance guy shocked the pool, we stayed out of it for a day and the rest of the week was great. We LOVED the walkway from the second floor of the house, over the dunes to the beach. This is great for any elderly guests. There is an outdoor shower and a room with beach and pool toys on the ground floor. We had the beach in front of our house to ourselves. The sand and water are gorgeous! Food Lion grocery store was 3/10 of a mile away. This was great because someone in our party went once a day. You can also buy boogie boards at Food Lion. You can walk to TimBuckII for shopping and restaurants (less than half a mile) if it’s not too hot. Kitchen really does have everything you need to make food for a large group. There are two coffee makers (not Keurigs). Be sure to try to make reservations if you want to eat out. The island is very crowded and the wait for tables was crazy. We ate in every night because no place could take a large group like ours without reservations.

Post Covid Family Vacation

Family from various parts of country came together after Covid for family vacation. Location and home were perfect for our group of 12. Home was well equipped with kitchen supplies which made preparing meals a breeze. Gazebo was a treat for all who did not want to venture onto the sand. Beautiful beach!

Great home on the beach

Honestly the house and amenities were near perfect. As advertised. Only complaint was we were surrounded by two homes filled with college students that kept our daughters from going to sleep several nights due to the noise factor. Ultimately I filed a noise complaint and the situation was remedied. I would highly recommend this property.

Very fun place! glad there was a plastic baby pool! We found the key to the closet two days later! let folks know you have a storage closet in amenities. The house fit all of us very well! the only concern was there was only one walk in shower. We had two elderly folks with us. luckily one of them handled straddling the tub with assistance. The walk in shower should have some handles for folks with problems of stability. The WiFi did not work! very weak! Apparently a problem on Island? The beach was fabulous! pool and hot tub as well! we would stay here again!

Perfect spot

This house was perfectly charming with an amazing outdoor setup. The walkway to the beach was amazing and the pool was awesome. The elevator helped tremendously as we had two older adults with us. There was plenty of space for old and young alike to relax. Kids loved the game room, and the older adults loved the warm sunroom which was perfect for puzzle solving. Plenty of games, books and puzzles. Kitchen was fine...a little tight for all the people in the house but it did the trick.

Quiet nice beach, pool, and plenty of deck space

We have visited this property a few times over the last several years and each time, we find it clean, spacious, and well thought out. The beach is close enough to easily walk across the convenient decking bridge (I like the non-wood decking, no splinters!) The gazebo has to be the favorite spot for early morning coffee. It's big enough that at least part of it is in shade in hot weather and you can find a warm sun ray in cool weather, either up on the decks or by the pool. The pool area being fenced off helps with blowing wind. I like the decks and have found a reason to lounge on each floor! Store is very convenient, even by bicycle. There are a few things to do close by, it's definitely for those who want to go to the beach, but we found pockets of interest. I have explored the old lighthouse and village, attended a concert at the old hunting lodge. There are enough restaurants close by if you want variety. It 's close to the horse tours. We did drive about a 1/2 hour to rent jet skis a few years ago. The elevator is very handy for loaded arms or weak legs. Parking wasn't a problem. I liked that the house offers plenty of space for togetherness but napping is possible in tucked away areas. It's not overly large or with wasted space. Denise

Excellent location!! Very clean. Ocean Front View is wonderful and decks on each level facing the Ocean. Very spacious with a huge kitchen. TV's in every room!! Would definitely recommend!! Close to shopping, great restaurants & Food Lion & Dunkin Donuts, Elevator, great parking!!! if your not in the mood for the beach, nice pool and hot tub all to yourselves. Coffee in the morning in the beach front gazebo to the sounds of the ocean. Saw dolphins everyday!!!This was our 6th year and we LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Stunning OBX Home

This property is in a prime beachfront location with access to many shops and restaurants. It has all of the modern amenities one would need. The views of the ocean and sunsets are stunning! It’s always relaxing to come back from the beach and enjoy a nice dip in the pool followed by the hot tub in the evening. We have a fabulous time every year with good friends and always look forward to returning.
