About this property

Amazing Whimsical Mtn Cabin! Pet Friendly, Hot Tub, Fireplace, Winery, Skiing

A classic mountain cabin full of artistic touches and charming outdoor spaces, privately nestled in rhododendrons, with a gorgeous outdoor stone fireplace and new hot tub! Your mountain hideaway is in Linville Land Harbor—a resort community—with a lake and sandy beach, provided kayaks/paddleboats, pool, hiking trails, river for fishing stocked trout, golf course, pickleball courts, tennis courts, arcade, and parks for children (and your furry companions too).

The cabin has just been fully renovated and is stocked with all-new, comfortable furnishings. In every room and throughout the outdoor spaces, you will see thoughtful touches to enhance your experience—warm robes for when you get out of the hot tub, high-quality cookware, relaxing chairs on the back deck to watch birds and enjoy your morning coffee, warm ambient lighting, handmade art, and more.
There is even a Mac computer and great WiFi if you need to get some work done while staying.

Need something for the children to entertain themselves while you relax? We have you covered! There is an understairs nook filled with toys, games, art supplies, costumes, and books.

Come see what drew us to this corner of the NC highlands. You can basically step out the front door and get lost in the beauty of the Linville Gorge and Pisgah National Forest. It’s less than 3 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and minutes to quintessential mountain towns like Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Boone. Ski slopes; hundreds of miles hiking trails, gravel roads, and mountain bike trails; amazing caverns; wineries; the breathtaking Linville Falls and Linville Gorge; Wiseman’s View; Grandfather Mountain and its mile-high swinging bridge; gem mining; antique shopping; and more are all less an hour’s drive!

Something else we love about this area is that it's an easy trip to explore Asheville (10 million visitors per year!) and the Biltmore House. So you can have all the amazing offerings of this area plus be in Asheville in a little over an hour, if you want to expand your adventures.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The cabin was so cozy and cute! It was decorated so beautifully with tons of detail! It had all the amenities we needed plus more! The outside area was so secluded and we felt like we were in a fairy garden! The hot tub was amazing! The neighborhood was very nice. The owners put so much thought and detail into their cabin! We had a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back! We highly recommend it!

Beautiful home in a lovely resort. The hot tub was nice, even in the summer, in the evenings when the highland cool settled in. Close to everything. Perfect place to spend a week in the mountains.

This cozy and comfortable mountain house served as a wonderful base for our mountain hiking trip. Conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Falls area, we were just a short ride away from amazing hikes and views. The owner was exceptionally helpful with suggestions and information. Very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The house has all the comforts you would want - outdoor fireplace and grill, spa, and comfortable furnishings both in and out.Additionally, we were a short ride from Banner Elk and Blowing Rock for some excellent food, treats, and shopping. A trip definitely worth making again. We look forward to another visit here soon!

Excellent mountain getaway

This is our 4th time booking with Melissa - our first here at Linville. This cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated and maintained. Several things to do in the area. Pet friendly but very clean home. The area seems very pet friendly too. Melissa was very responsive and helpful from checking to check out. Highly recommend!

Secluded cabin in a mini city in the mountains!

What a cute little cabin with a cottage core vibe! It has everything you need to stay a week or two. Even though the property is small you feel it's secluded and private and perfectly appointed. It's in a great spot to enjoy all the area attractions, hiking, BBQ spots, craft beers, shopping...the list goes on. It's so quiet there, we slept in every morning! Great place to get away from it all and unwind

cutest cabin

The cabin is just like the pictures, it had everything you could need and was very close to any activities. It was the perfect getaway and after hours on the slopes the hot tub was heavenly. It really feels like your staying in a story book, couldn't be happier with our stay.

About the host

Host profile image
We (Ed and Rachel) are two avid outdoor lovers. We moved to NC for the variety and ease of access from the mountains to the sea. Overly enthusiastic cyclists (well, at least Ed), we also love to hike, so the Appalachia is our go to destination. Our hope as hosts is to make people’s visits with to the mountains one to remember–whether that be getting lost on the endless gravel roads of Pisgah, hiking to an awe-inspiring vista, or snuggling up by the fire.
