This Historic property was renovated and decorated using our Design team. Feel transported in time, with all the modern conveniences you need for a great Stay. This spacious, sunny location, is 2 combined historic townhouses, only steps from the Mystic Drawbridge, and fabulous downtown. Furnished, with antiques renovated by our team, to embrace the nautical heritage of Mystic. It is perfect for families. Immerse yourselves in the charms of Mystic, and this beautiful historic location.

Recently renovated and updated by our design team, this charming historic home is equipped with modern luxuries, and located in downtown Mystic. Our home is perfect for families, friends and foodies. This home is actually two townhouses combined, The Avery Suite and The Coates Suite. There are a total of 6 bedrooms, and 4.5 Bathrooms. Two full kitchens, two family rooms, two dining rooms, and plenty of outside space with a deck and two patios. The first floor layouts were designed with gatherings in mind. From the chef's kitchens and ample dining areas. Whether preparing your own meal on the grill, in the oven or picking up take out from the many restaurants in town, it's the perfect inside/outside entertaining space! Each townhouse has it's own EXTERNAL entrance. There is no inside link between townhomes.

Sunlit indoor rooms, meticulously designed, restored, and furnished, by our team, to embrace the maritime history with a special touch, so you don't feel like you are in a museum. The outdoor space is perfect for entertaining, reading, working or just lying around....You decide whether you want sun or shade! The kitchens are fully stocked with all the basics and equipment you need - we provide those little "essentials" like a coffee maker and blender/juicer, coffee, tea, creamer along with condiments and basics. With both townhomes there are six bedrooms and four two full bathrooms. The entire home has high speed WIFI access and smart TVs in every bedroom for your Netflix/Prime Video and other subscription accounts. Also there is an Amazon Alexa/Sonos system. The family and dining rooms are spacious and cozy, and a great place to enjoy gathering with family and friends. After dinner take a short walk (3-5 minutes) downtown for the "best ice cream in CT" or see the famous Mystic River Bascule drawbridge, which opens every 40 minutes on the hour in the summer months.

Historic Gem

This historic home was nicely restored and offered plenty of space for all of us. It was really convenient to have 2 sides to the home as we stayed with multiple families. Very clean with adequate amenities. Very quick walk to downtown Mystic, restaurants, shops, icecream, etc. Property owners clearly take pride in home and were very responsive. Would highly recommend accommodations and location!

Just the Right Amount of Everything

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! -The hosts were one of the best I have for a rental. They were super responsive, they even had little baskets with supplies in case we forgot something, and all we had to do was just lock the house when we departed. -The rooms were comfortable and there was enough space in the areas to gather together comfortably. -Great location to walk to the downtown area.

Exactly as described

Overall we had a great experience. The property was just as described in the listing. Small details were appreciated such as a basket of items that we may have forgotten at home (toothbrush, toothpaste, even some microwave popcorn!) We also appreciated that we weren't asked to strip beds, run laundry, etc....only asked to start the dishwasher before vacating the property which is certainly a reasonable request. Great experience.

Great location and lovely historic home.

This was a great location to see the area. It’s walkable to downtown mystic and a short drive to the village. This is two separate town homes, which wasn’t an issue for us and gave everyone a place to hangout. We had everything we needed for the stay including laundry items. This is a historic home so be aware the floors are a bit uneven in places and there’s no closet space really to hang much. Plenty of storage has been added to the home to supplement for the lack of closet space. Gearld went above on his communication to make sure we had arrived and everything was going well for our stay. I would not hesitate to book this home again. It was a wonderful experience all around.

Why they chose this property

Our location is incredibly well-suited to the quintessential Mystic experience. The river is a few steps from our house and quite kayak friendly (yes, we have boats). The famed Mystic Seaport area is a 5 minute walk. They also have boats, as you probably know. The downtown area is a very short walk from the house. Then there's the aquarium, the diner, and a handful of lesser known things to see, do, eat, and drink. We share detailed recommendations and favorite picks with guests upon booking.
