About this property

Cozy secluded cabin in Cohutta Wilderness, with hot tub, great hiking trails

This secluded cabin is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. The property is right on the border of the 36,000 acre Cohutta Wilderness. Access to a large number of trailheads just around the corner. Visit Lake Conasauga, Jacks River Falls, Grassy Mountain Tower, and many other gorgeous wilderness sites. Minutes from Sumac WMA Shooting Range. The cabin is also only 25 min from Lake Ocoee with rafting, kayaking and other water activities.
You’ll be able to truly get away from it all here while you warm up next to the wood burning stove, challenge your friends to a game of foosball or cornhole, grill up something delicious on the propane grill and listen to the wind rush through the trees as you dine on the deck. There’s also a cozy nook for reading, a relaxing loft (6ft ceilings) for watching movies (DVDs), and a swinging bench on the quiet front porch for drinking your morning coffee. After the sun goes down, you can gaze into the cosmos through the telescope. We do have WiFi, however, the cabin is very remote, so the speed is slow.
There is one large bedroom downstairs with a king size bed and attached master bath. The upstairs bedroom features 2 twin beds. For additional sleeping options, the couch in the loft and living room both fold out to queen size mattresses. An additional full bathroom is located just off the entrance to the cabin.
Please keep in mind this cabin is deep in the woods and in the mountains. This means there is wildlife everywhere so please don’t leave food or trash outside and the grill should be thoroughly cleaned after each use. Pest control service is in use and the cabin is cleaned after each use, but this cabin is fairly remote so stray bugs may find their way inside.
The road to the cabin changes from paved to gravel, and then to a single-lane gravel road that has a steep grade. An SUV, truck or 4WD will have no problems, and most regular cars won’t have an issue either. But you probably shouldn’t try to drive up here with a lowrider. If there is snowy or icy conditions, the road may not be accessible to lesser equipped vehicles. Please contact us if this may impact your stay. Believe us though, the adventurous drive in is totally worth it!

Getting Away from it All
This cabin is AMAZING!! You feel like you are a million miles from anyone! Outside all you hear is birds, wind and rustling of leaves. Hot tub is out of this world experience, open sky for star gazing, crisp cold mountain air, warm 105° hot tub, glass of wine from the Georgia Winery and the wonderful company of my better half!! Nothing better in life!! Staying here you do need to plan ahead, running to the store is wasted time away from this GEM!!

Gorgeous secluded cabin home
We had an amazing time. It was super clean, very comfortable, and the host was wonderful all the way around. The hot tub is brand new. We sat in there for a long time just admiring the stars. My husband and I hope to stay there again soon.

Hidden gem
Super secluded and private.loved the space in the yard. Took our 1st walk and 3 horses on the next property came to visit. So beautiful! Definitely would make sure your 1st day in, to arrive in the daylight. Once we knew where we were going it was great. Anne was great with communicating. Had fun playing the foosball table and monopoly. We never turned the tv on, just family time. Priceless!

Rafting Trip
This cabin is a perfect get away. It was a little challenging finding the cabin at night. Recommend getting there during daylight hours. The owner was very helping with specific directions to the cabin. It was a short 30 minute drive to Cleveland Tennessee where we went white water rafting on the Ocoee River I would definitely book again
