Second time staying here and it was amazing as always! It's a beautiful property with tons of space, it's nice and secluded to be able to relax without being too far from town. I plan to come back again!

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
This place was invested with bugs of all types. Over 20 bugs (flies, centipedes, other types) were on the kitchen floor when we arrived. Some dead, some dying, some alive ( horse flies). Stove oven was nasty and needed to be cleaned. Wasps were outside the front and back doors. Excessive amount of Bird poop was on the front porch behind a plant on the left side of the front door. The upstairs bathroom had a mouse chew through a cabinet door next to the tub. There was corn kernels stored on one of the shelves inside the cabinet probably by the mouse. The big bed in the upstairs bedroom over the kitchen appears to have bedbugs as indicated by blood on the pillow case and a fully engorged bedbug we photographed. In the same bedroom near the small bed, scratching sounds were heard in the a/c vent. Might be the mouse previously discussed.Items such as hunting gear and house shoes were left from previous visitors in the bedroom closets. Trash cans in the house had various items left in them from previous cleaning activities. No paper towels provided. Some type of debris left in kitchen sink strainer from previous guests.Front porch floor paint was peeling badly and needs to repainted.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest experiences seriously, and we’re disappointed to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, especially given our history of consistently strong reviews and that you had not communicated any of these issues with us previously upon arrival or during your stay.
Our property is a cabin located in a wooded, natural setting, and while we take proactive pest control measures (sprayed bi-monthly), occasional insects can appear, particularly during warmer months. That said, the condition described with bugs on arrival is not reflective of our cleaning standards, and we are addressing this directly with our cleaning team.
Several of the concerns raised, including the condition of the oven, trash, and items left behind, are also being reviewed and corrected, as these do not align with the level of care we expect to provide every guest.
Regarding the more serious claims (including bedbugs and rodent activity), we initiated an immediate inspection after receiving your feedback. No evidence has been found to support the presence of bedbugs, and we have not received similar reports from prior or subsequent guests. Nonetheless, we take these concerns extremely seriously and will take necessary actions in the future if needed.
We strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for every guest, and we regret that this stay did not reflect that. We appreciate the feedback and are using it to further improve our processes.
I loved my stay at this property, plenty of space and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with cooking supplies plus a grill on the deck. Super close to montauk and got to enjoy some fishing too!
The house was great for our group, The setting is very special. The house had plenty of space and everything necessary to make for an enjoyable time. Thanks we hope to be back again.
Before I had even arrived at the property the owner had contacted me to inform me of the issues they knew of and that they would fix them asap. They were very nice and offered to help if I needed anything. Overall a great place to stay and a very nice owner, I would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice little place to stay.
Our stay was great, we loved the location of Montauk State Park because we were in the area to float and fish. The kitchen was well-stocked and beautiful. The back porch was awesome to sit with coffee and in the evenings sip some wine.
The place was nice although not exactly a real road to get to it on the last stretch before arriving. Very close to the park which was nice. The place was infested with lady bugs though.
Absolutely a beautiful property completely off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay and the solitude of being off the grid. Would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to truly be away for a weekend with family and friends
Great house for 7 adults plus a child. Large kitchen and living room. Great view. We used the BBQ grill and fire pit! Highly recommend.
