About the host
Hosted by Property Manager
We are a family of five with three boys who love to travel. Having grown up visiting Siesta Key, Lido, and Longboat Key, we continue to choose Siesta Key for its true island feel and one of the best beaches in the U.S. After 30+ years of traveling together, we designed this home using the details we loved most along the way. Thoughtfully cared for by our local, family-focused team at RCC Rentals of Siesta Key, we’re excited to share a place where families can relax and make lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
Laurel Park has that rare mix of charm, history, and unbeatable location that makes it truly special. Nestled in the heart of downtown Sarasota, it strikes the perfect balance between peaceful neighborhood vibes and close proximity to everything this vibrant city has to offer.
One of the biggest reasons we love Laurel Park is the location—it’s ideal for those who want a bit of everything. You're just minutes from world-renowned beaches like Siesta Key and Lido Beach, where soft white sand and turquoise waters are a daily luxury. But just as close are the cultural gems of Sarasota, like the Sarasota Opera House, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, galleries, museums, and great local dining.
For sports lovers, especially baseball fans, it's also just a short hop to spring training games, with Ed Smith Stadium—home of the Baltimore Orioles' spring training—right nearby.
The neighborhood itself is walkable and full of character, with charming bungalows, historic architecture, and tree-lined streets. There's a real sense of community here, with friendly neighbors, cozy cafés, and a laid-back but active lifestyle that’s hard to beat.
Laurel Park feels like a hidden gem—a place where you can enjoy both the relaxing rhythm of coastal living and the energy of a culturally rich city, all without ever feeling far from home.

What makes this property unique
What we love most about 320 Ohio Place is the character you just can’t find anywhere else. The original 100-year-old hardwood floors, 10-foot ceilings, and huge windows fill the space with warmth and natural light. The open floor plan makes it perfect for hosting family and friends, and the mosaic tile front porch is one-of-a-kind—it’s always the first thing people compliment.
Living in Laurel Park has been a dream. We’re just minutes from Sarasota’s beaches, restaurants, art galleries, and even spring training baseball. Whether we’re walking to downtown or relaxing under the trees in the backyard, it truly feels like home here.
