The City of Indian Rocks Beach welcomes you and invites you to visit our "Little Piece of Heaven". Our sensitivity to the environment, safe beaches, wonderful restaurants, and quaint hotels continues to make Indian Rock Beach a favorite for seasonal guests.
Our city stretches less than three miles along the Gulf of Mexico and, like its neighboring barrier islands, waterfront property faces either the Gulf or the Intracoastal Waterway. At some points along this narrow piece of land you can even view both bodies of water.

We enjoyed its casual atmosphere, being one minute from beach, and on the Golf Blvd strip..so entertaining! Construction was going on to repair hurricane damage but the crew was courteous and not bothersome. Although grounds outside could have been cleaned up a bit. Fun place to stay!

It was a good little place for what I was using it for. It was advertised as a beachfront but we had to walk a through a parking lot and public parking to get to the beach. It was a 2 minute walk. It was also advertised there was an outdoor shower. There was dirt packed on the floor and the shower head didn’t work so it was inoperable. The room didn’t seem very well cleaned. The microwave was dirty with past guests food and the shower curtain was stained.
Cracked glass closet door (should be replaced or at least taped so glass doesn’t fall out), toilet ran and had to remove tank cover and fiddle with flapper valve multiple times, bulb out in bathroom, unable to lock the front door (had to put valuables in car till handyman came and replaced battery in keypad unit), gash on living room wall with missing paint and exposed plaster, TV in bedroom never even able to be turned on (gave up trying), TV in living room turned on but without the owner putting Roku in “guest mode” not able to stream any channels. It was just one thing after another. Unit needs attention.

Top house, nice and clean cool bar on the other side of the road. Beach reached in under a minute. Everything fine :) thanks for having us
Location great for beach & restaurants. On a busy road, lots of noise. Quaint place. Needs blackout shades for bedroom. Lights from traffic & surrounding properties always shinning in room. . Great response from management.
It was the best place for me and my wife, clean and cozy, close to the beach and close to several food places. Just a great location, would highly recommend.
We arrived within weeks of Hurricane Helene but this locale was just right for what we needed. I planned a vacation with my elderly mom and it was perfect for us. It had beach access, located near major roads and on the main drag. We didn’t eat in, but could’ve. It was just right for us.
The house was a perfect oasis that was only a 1 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. were all provided for us at the house. It was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. Just minutes from at least 4-5 of the best restaurants for relaxing or watching the game. Ice cream right across the street. Quiet neighborhood. 10 stars from this girl. We will be back.
Lovely little motel with a 50’s vibe. Clean and comfortable for the two of us. Has kitchenette facilities but we enjoyed walking to the local restaurants and really enjoyed our vacation.
WE WILL BE BACK!
Clean and comfortable rental. It was well supplied with essentials. The location was perfect for going to the beach and restaurants were within walking distance.
Great location. It’s nothing fancy, so if you’re looking for a place to be inside all the time, probably not this place, but it couldn’t be more conveniently located & the price is right.
Stayed at this property 2x now. I loved this unit (#2) everything was as described. The location is just awesome…you can walk everywhere. Seems to be a safe area as we had no concerns. On the last day we did have a problem with the lock. We were locked out for about 45min, which isn’t long, but we had an appt to get to. The property maintenance man showed up quickly. He was super kind and helpful. Someone even replied in a very timely manner on the VRBO messages. I will be staying here again!!
It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach! Property was just the right size for my daughter and I for a long weekend getaway. It had all the cooking supplies (minus seasonings) needed to cook meals in. Laundry room on site was nice so we didn’t have to go home with a lot of dirty laundry. Has apartment size fridge and stove. Shower was a bit small and didn’t get much hot water when showering. Anytime I needed a question answered the host always replied in a very reasonable amount of time. I never had any issues with the host. Overall it’s a cute property . We would stay there again and would recommend you booking here!
Our stay was overall good, and we were in this unit almost a month. The unit was a little smaller than we realized, but it worked for the two of us. I would not recommend this unit for more than two people for any long period of time. It is clean and overall well kept. Our two issues were: the stove and oven did not work well and the air conditioner quit working 3 days before we left. The office said they would get a repair person over, but we never seen anyone show up. For convenience to the beach, resturants, bars, and shops, it is great.
What a GREAT location. Bruce & Martha were very responsive with any and all of our questions/needs. (i.e. No Ice Chest for the beach, and one was quickly delivered to the property.)
Unfortunately, after we booked- Indian Rocks Township "quietly" announced in October that they were rebuilding the Sand Dunes (GOOD THING) that were destroyed by Hurricane Idalia. That left all the beach access for 4+ blocks in either direction CLOSED.
Unfortunately for my wife & I, we ended up walking 4 blocks to get to the beach each day. Add in restroom trips, refill the cooler, etc... we were not putting in 25000 steps a day on vacation (LOL). At least it was 25K steps at the beach :)
Only negative for the property is parking if you have a Fullsize Truck... fits, just not a lot of room to turn in/ack in. Recommend smaller vehicles
Given an opportunity, we would return to this property.
Its a great location, easy access to the beach. Thats all the positive. Tried to contact the property manager who did contact me back. He was a JERK. I advised by email there was no way to get in touch with someone to ask for help with issues. He called me back and was very rude telling me everything was on the welcome letter. BS only thing on the welcome letter was the door code and whar to do with the trash no number. I a number found on the internet and when i called it several times it was not a working number. We had several issues but the one we were most concerned about was the TV and he had no clue. Next day a nice lady called , i went over the concerns and she offered a different place. Further from the beach so we did declined. The place was really dirty, spent quite some time cleaning before we brought our stuff in. You absolutely can't close the blinds to have privacy. We took coat hangers and beach towels to cover the cracks. The kitchen and bath sink do not hold water. We bought one for the bathroom and left it for the next guest. It has a table in the kitchen that we could not figure the purpose because there were no chairs. The bars stools were so nasty we covered them with towels. The shower handle needs to be trashed it has mold inside. As far as i know there was no one staying in unit one but there were people coming and going there all hours of the day and night. Two guys sitting in an old Lincoln smoking pot. We called the police but didnt come.

Here is just a quick overview of my career along with a few of our Vacation strengths in the rental industry. I have been involved in the hospitality field most of my life. After graduating from Boston University back in 1986 I got my start working as a night auditor in a small hotel in Boston. I was instantly fascinated with this industry and wanted to know everything about it. I enjoyed finding new ways to improve the overall experience for the guests and in doing so, I was promoted often. I learned all aspects of each department and through the years I became the General Manager of some well-known hotels and upscale boutique inns. During my corporate career as a General Manager of a Hyatt Hotel in Tampa Florida, I had an opportunity to manage a small beach vacation rental along the shores of the Gulf. Simply put…I was hooked. This became my new passion and career. My wife and I had stayed in vacation rentals in the past with mixed feelings about our stays, I knew there was room for improvement in the Vacation Rental business and I was excited to get started. My team and I have worked hard over the years and I feel our success at Carter Coastal Vacation Rentals is from having a variety of vacation property options that suits each guests needs and budget. We also have chosen to keep Carter Coastal Vacation Rental business relatively small in order to maintain a personable connection with each of our new arrivals. I, along with my team understand the importance of anticipating the guest's needs as well as treating each guest with complete respect during their vacation getaway. We take great pride in serving you. We are here for you. So choose one of our properties and soon you will be enjoying a "little slice of paradise" on the beautiful barrier island.
Hope to "see ya" on the Beach Bruce Carter
