This property was perfect for a group of family and friends to get together and ice fish for a couple days. It's harder and harder these days to find safe ice, ample parking, and fish to catch for a group - this property was perfect for that. Thanks!
We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving week at the house. It was well equipped and very comfortable. We found no trace of the mustiness or the strong laundry smell that another person found a few months earlier. Kate was very responsive when some questions arose. We will consider this house for our next family visit..
My brother & I rented this cottage. This is overall a great place- lots of sleep space (kids can have their own downstairs area), the renovated porch is beautiful & a terrific place to enjoy scenery and peacefulness of lake. Very well located & so glad to have access to lake. Cottage decor is overall welcoming &uncluttered. Wonderful parking area. As I slept on upstairs sofa bed I particularly appreciated how thoroughly all windows were fitted w/easy to operate shades! However one of the reasons I slept on the sofabed was also main reason I rate 4 vs 5 stars. Neither of us wanted to sleep downstairs since,as is often the case in these lakeside cottages-especially given all the rain this summer-the basement was fairly musty. Only one of the two bathrooms was upstairs which is an issue because it is located inside one of the two bedrooms. FYI we are both adults of @ 60, So if we wanted a private bedroom one would need to go downstairs overnight (which we both typically do multiple times& my knees aren't too great) or disturb the other. Perhaps future plans could include a door from mudroom to upstairs bathroom as possible solution. Also as a person highly sensitive to allergens & toxins, suggest anyone with respiratory issues bring their own linens. All cottage linens & downstairs where laundry is located smelled very strongly of heavily perfumed laundry product. Would be great to have onsight/local trash disposal vs back to PA. Would happily rent again with my own linens.
This house is great! Newly renovated but still maintains that rustic lake cabin feel that lets you know you're on vacation at the lake. Very clean and well-equipped with essentials and just a short walk across the road to the dock and firepit. Relaxing at night over the firepit watching fireflies along the lake was wonderful. Our host was fantastic - very quick to respond and even looked up and shared where we might play pickle ball while in town. We will definitely go back.
