The Mangos Beach House - Sleeps 26

Welcome to a unique 2 house retreat for the whole family or group of friends. With plenty of room to spread out. The main house is a 6 bedroom 3 full bath home with a huge bunk room, huge living room, 2 dining areas, updated kitchen and beautiful mid century modern decor that can accommodate 16. Take a short walk across the pool area to the additional house where you will find another entire house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, also including a bunk room, sitting area, pool table, cozy open living room.
Outside you will find a tropical oasis around the screened pool and a huge lanai.
This is a really unique property that can accommodate large family getaways, multigenerational groups or friends on vacation together. Short walk less than 1/2 mile form Bishop's Point. Walk or drive to Fort DeSoto and short 10 minute drive to the gorgeous Gulf beaches. Be close to the the islands without the price tag.
Please keep in mind this is a residential area with a noise ordinance. We do not book for parties.

Wow! We needed a place to house multiple families for a family wedding near The Bishop Museum- The Mangos Beach House was perfect!!! Two houses with 9 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms-appointed with comfy beds accommodated our 21 person group! Plenty of room for everyone! Matt the property manager, was very responsive to everything we needed! Easy check in and check out. Close to beach, downtown and Ana Maria Island! If you are in need of specific kitchen supplies check w property manager- otherwise all the basics are included. It was just what we needed. Not 5 star simply because we had so many people w so many different needs - and some parts of property needed just a bit more TLC. All agree it met all the minimums needed and we had so much comfortable space.

Family vacation

This was the perfect house for a large family we were able to use both houses yet come together and swim and use a large patio. House was very clean and had everything we needed. And a short drive to the ocean.

The location was perfect! The house provided just the right amount of space for our 6 families. Everyone had space to spread out and not be on top of each other. Wish the weather was a bit warmer so that we could have utilized the pool.

Extended family stay

Nice there are so many bedrooms. Every person/couple had their own room so we could have a lot of people but still felt spread out. We enjoyed the pool area especially the big game table and ping pong table. Fire pit was nice to use in the evenings. Kitchen in the main house was big and plenty of room for everyone to sit!

The house was fine. The hot water was a problem. We were never able to get anything but warm water in the kitchen, and the showers took too long to respond to a desired temperature change. When it did finally change, you had turned it so far you got scalded, or frozen out. There were kitchen utensils, but there weren't basic things like salt/Pepper, etc. Even a scrubber for dishes would have been a nice addition. We ended up buying those things ourselves. the house was fine, but I probably wouldn't rent it again

Large Family Summer Reunion!

This home is beautifully laid out! The big home is spacious and kitchen well equipped with all necessary essentials. The guest house is also well furnished and kitchenette fully equipped. The pool was clean and well maintained. ALTHOUGH THE place was large IT IS not well treated. Area not well exterminated. Found large live roaches in the big house. The reason we didnt contact the property manger is because we didn't want pest control while on property because of small children. Fans in the house extremely dusty. Internet in the guesthouse poor connection. Although there is a pool table, it needs to be redone! There is only stick to play pool. None of the bedroom doors have locks on them. For the price, we GOT a large home JUST not guest-friendly in terms of pests! For the price, the only thing we got was space.. not well equipped, nor well furnished.. not guest-friendly in terms of insects etc

Great location

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The location of the house was awesome. 10 minutes to the island beaches and amazing restaurants. The pool was great for the kids. The main house is lovely but the master bathroom shower doors kept falling off the track. Also the entry doors aren’t sealed properly when closed. You can see right through the bottom and in between them. The guest house was fine but the one bathroom had terrible water pressure and the knobs didn’t work properly. The WiFi didn’t work in the guest house. I give this house an average rating. It wasn’t terrible by any means but the property was definitely lacking in cleanliness and needs some TLC. The back garden could be a beautiful area but it wasn’t maintained. I do believe from what we were told from some locals this property is under new ownership so I’m sure they have great intentions for it. The neighbor across the street definitely doesn’t appreciate their neighboring house being a vacation rental. They had signs in their yard that they don’t like homes being used for hotels which to each their own but they would give us nasty looks every time we left the property or returned from a day at the beach. Made us a little uncomfortable. So overall great location but house could use more attention.
