The place was clean it had a nice bed, the only problem we had was a noisy neighbor upstairs late at night. I talked to him but it didn’t do. Any good.
Perfect location in downtown Franklin. Cozy and spacious unit. We had a quick stay but would be great for a longer time. You could even walk to downtown or the grocery store.
Lovely 1BR 1 Ba 1st floor. Surprisingly large. Absolutely immaculate and very comfortable. Host was most accommodating, easy to contact and very responsive. Advised us of a minor issue prior to our arrrival and did everything posssible to succesfully resolve. We were hardly inconvenienced at all and grateful for her communication and diligence. Highly recommend.
My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, rented this vrbo in the past. It is perfectly dog friendly with a park just over the fence. Area is safe to walk and plenty of shopping and eating to be done all within walking distance. Our host, Chloe, was readily available to answer any questions or resolve any issues or concerns we had. She was also a great resource for information about the area. Last time we stayed we rented the upstairs apartment. This trip we rented the basement apartment. Love both of them. Met some great people in the neighborhood and enjoyed conversation with upstairs renters. This vrbo is perfectly located and best of all dog friendly.
Problems:
1. Ice maker didn't work. Bag of old ice in refrigerator was old
2. AC didn't work
3. Ran out of toilet paper
4.Bedroom dvd player didn't work
5. First 2 nights no noise slept well. Third night someone doing laundry (laundry room adjacent to our room) till after 9:30.
Could hear people upstairs, over our bedroom jumping around and dropping things pushing things across the floor till nearly midnight.
Perfect size for us, really clean, pet friendly, park right next to property, mins from downtown, easiest check in/out process. Chloe was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Great location for our purpose of riding through the mountains. Any direction was a great ride. Walking distance to a lot of stuff.
Place was very clean and suited our needs. Chloe was a great host and addressed anything that needed attention. Very nice rental.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks while remodeling our home. The apartment was very comfortable and well cared for. We had our small dog with us and the park/walk path next door was icing on the cake. Parking can get a little snug when there's someone in the upper unit, but not a big deal, and we would definitely stay again and recommend!

Great property, Chloe (owner) was wonderful and we will be staying there again
Wow! The first thing we noticed as soon as we walked in the door was that the entire apartment was immaculate. As you go through the apartment, we found that everything the listing said would be there was there. The furniture was sufficient and the whole place was nicely (not extravagantly) appointed. We stayed in the downstairs apartment - I have a walking disability and there were no steps to climb which was great for me. However, please don't be confused by that comment - the apartment is NOT wheelchair accessible or outfitted for the handicapped. The location was everything it was promised to be - well within walking distance of much of downtown Franklin. The building faces a typical neighborhood street and, unlike one commenter, we never heard a single bit of traffic. Also, the building is NOT located in the middle of some deserted, rusted out, industrial area as one commenter suggested. Yes, downhill from the apartment are a couple of closed manufacturing type buildings but they don't in anyway impact the apartment. And just below the apartment is an older cinderblock building that was never used by anyone the entire time we were there. There is one parking space right next to the apartment building but plenty of extra parking in a gravel lot which, it you need it, also works as a turn-around space. Cindy and I rode my Harley into Franklin and we had no problems parking it safely.
The best feature of the entire place is Chloe Goodman, the owner. She is very friendly, returned every call right away, responded to every email (usually within an hour) and answered every question we had. The second best feature is the price. You get a clean, attractive apartment, close to downtown for a price that is more than fair.
There are only two "cons" that I can think of and they are pretty inconsequential. One (and I guess we are just spoiled) there is no dishwasher. And two, we could hear the upstairs folks walking across the floor. Neither of these will keep us from staying there again.
Perhaps the best recommendation I can give is that Cindy and I will be staying there again soon. Hope these comments help.

Accurate description of a cute downtown duplex
The house was represented accurately. This is not a cabin in the woods, if that's what you're looking for. It is a cute house in downtown Franklin close enough to walk to restaurants, a brewery, a grocery store and several shops.
The house was clean and well stocked with all of the necessary items (sheets, blankets, pillows, dishes, towels, etc.). We stayed in winter and the heat worked great! There was additional heat in the bathroom for a nice warm shower:)
I had trouble getting the washer started and Chloe, the property owner, called me right back after texting her and resolved the problem.
If we vacation in Franklin again, I would definitely stay here!

We rented the second floor apartment using "home away" so we only saw pictures online. One positive thing I can say is that the apartment itself was clean, but this property is not what it seems and we would not recommend it to anyone. The pictures do not show where it is located and it should not be booked by anyone unless you see it first. It is located in a dumpy industrial area which has been cut out of the pictures. It sits right on a busy street and the traffic feels likes it's in the apartment. Additionally, the heat and air conditioning is controlled in a separate laundry room from both apartments on the bottom floor which you must access from the outside or the basement apartment. In other words, the basement apartment and the second floor apartment share the the same heat and air conditioning
unit ~ not good. If we had not previously rented through VRBO (Home Away), we would not do this again. We have always been quite satisfied in the past. To end this review positively, Chloe was good to work with and responsive when we were booking the unit.

Larger than expected!
Very convenient to historic downtown Franklin, just a short walk. The apartment is large, comfortable, and brighter than expected for a basement apartment. Communications with the owner, Chloe, were excellent. The only downside is that the wifi was weak and often not available.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND
We loved our stay first and foremost because we took our dog; Oscar; therefore; important to have somewhere accepting pets. Property was everything as advertised and more because owner, Chloe, was available entire time for any necessary request. Clean, comfortable, convenient (downtown & county park next door to rental was great for walking dog) and certainly will be back again either to this property or mountain rental properties Chloe has because I know they also will be just as great!! Again; thanks Chloe for your hospitality!! See you soon!!

Very convenient and great place to stay
My husband and I have stayed here several times and it is always a pleasure. You have everything you need right here and it's like being at home. Very comfortable. You can walk to the downtown area which has great shops and antiques. Close driving to the Blue Ridge Parkway, gem mining, Asheville and other towns, I always look forward to coming back.
