We had really enjoyed the Wildwood Cabin. My kids wished we could have stayed longer! The location was perfect for our ski trip to Boreal. It was only a 20minute drive. The cabin was super clean and well-stocked with a very cozy vibe. We really appreciated the snow play gear.
Such a beautiful place in a great location. The check in process was smooth and the cabin even has extra beds and blankets.

It was our pleasure to host you, Josiah! Yes, VRBO list our beds as bunks, and they have a trundle pullout option as well (meaning each bunk has 3 twin beds)!
Awesome place to stay in a rare area.
Couldn't think how it could be better for our needs. Very responsive and nice host! Smoothest check in.
Hoping to be back soon!
Very great cabin to stay with a family. I loved the location that we were able to take our kids for a walk right there without having to drive anywhere because it can be challenging with small kids. Very clean and comfortable! Highly recommend
Everything was as advertised. Communication with the host was excellent. The cabin had everything we needed after an excellent day of snowboarding. Thank you!
I stayed for a week at the Wildwood cabin with my husband and our 9 year old son and it’s perfect! Super clean and tastefully decorated with a wonderfully equipped kitchen and very comfy beds. The owners Annalise and Tim were very responsive, helpful and friendly and they left a clear and informative binder full of excellent local food and activities suggestions. Fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back.
The cabin made for an easy getaway from the Bay Area. Location was a great home base for all things Tahoe/Truckee and was only a couple minutes off 80. Cabin is tucked on a nice street with a wooded front/back yard that gave it a nice alpine setting.
Arrived with clear check-in instructions to a clean cabin. Host had good recommendations for things to do and kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable beds made for a restful stay. Would come back again!
I came with a group of 7 friends for a ski weekend, and while the weather threw us a bit of a curve ball, we had a great weekend and really enjoyed the Wildwood! We found it to be very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook group meals. The one wrinkle was that the driveway had about a foot of snow in it when we arrived and the snowplow guy didn't come until later - we did manage to find the shovels though!
The house was great for a comfortable stay in the mountains with just a couple downsides. The host (Annalise) is absolutely lovely and super communicative. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and she picked up immediately when we called and helped us get back in. The bunk room was perfect for our group of kids (9-14) -- filled with games and toys which is always amazing when traveling with a pack this age. Two downsides worth noting -- 1) Appliances in the house are a bit dated; 2) Location is a bit far from the ski hills (we go to Sugarbowl) so its a bit much to go out and back if you are doing more than one ski day, especially if you have to go through chain control.

Thank you so much for your kind review, Molly! We're so glad to hear that you had a comfortable stay and that the bunk room worked well for your group of kids. We totally agree – having plenty of games and toys is a game-changer when traveling with kids that age!
We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the appliances and location. We’re always working to improve the house, and in fact, we’ve recently added several new appliances, including a state-of-the-art Lopi wood stove (I’m super excited that it has a catalytic converter to clean the air!) and a brand-new 2025 washer and dryer. While we understand that some of the other appliances may be a bit older, we think the stove adds to the cabin’s charm.
We also understand that the location might have felt a little far from Sugarbowl, especially with chain control and heavy traffic during the busy New Year’s holiday that fell during your stay. We're 23.8 miles from Sugarbowl, and while that’s not far in normal conditions, we know the drive was probably longer than usual during the peak of the season.
Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback, and we’d love to host you again in the future!
