Pine Mountain Peace

A peaceful place to stay while you explore our amazing area! Just 2 miles north of Pine Mountain, this 1400 sq ft home sits 100 yards off the main Hwy. 27 (Hamilton Rd). Quiet country feel - very private on a drive shared by just one neighbor - 100 yards thru the trees.

The home boasts hardwood floors with a mid-century modern feel. Split floor plan. Master has a queen & its own bath. Back bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom. Decorated in area flair including Callaway Gardens (5 miles) & Wild Animal Safari (2 miles).

Roosevelt State Park and Warm Springs are also very close, as well as Impact 360. 30 min from Columbus = Army Base; National Infantry Museum (free); Whitewater rafting; Zip line over the river to Alabama; Great Shopping; etc.

Spacious dining area, and fair sized living room. Decent sized carpeted kid's play area (or could be an office) is shared as washer & dryer room.

Back yard is fenced, but no lawn - too many trees, making the lot nice & shady.

Wifi internet. A TV is in living room. We have family board games too!

House was incredibly clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Centrally located to everything you would want to do or need. Host was responsive. It sits off of a busy road but the road noise was not an issue for us. If you bring kids, there are plenty to games and craft supplies to keep them busy. Kitchen had everything you need. Plenty of towels and extra linens if needed. This was the perfect house for our girls trip. We will definitely book again!

Great location for Callaway Gardens, any time of year. My stay was an annual Christmas tradition for the Fantasy of the Lights. The cabin is extremely comfortable, everything you need to feel at home, have space, and unwind. The cabin was decorated for the holidays, a great touch. Christmas music was playing when we arrived, a great surprise. I especially loved the Christmas decor touches to each room, so warm and welcoming. The updated retro bathrooms were an extremely nice touch. Absolutely loved the colors. The kitchen is very well equipped. I especially liked the large dining room, which was great for gaming and meals without feeling cramped. This cabin is a gem.

Great, secluded location for visiting Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, Warm Springs, and Animal Safari (all four of these places being with 15 minutes in 3 different directions. There were only of 4 of us, but plenty of room including 3 bedrooms, large living room, fully stocked kitchen, and a large kitchen table which can seat 8 easy. We traveled with twin 12 year old grandsons, and fortunately there was plenty of books, games, DVD, etc. to keep children entertained if needed. I contacted the host a couple times with questions/concerns and got nearly immediate, positive responses. We have stayed at other VRBO locations and received a 10% military discount which we didn't get here, but I do understand seeing as we only stayed two nights.

4th of July stay.

The value of this property is great, it is very close and convenient to Callaway gardens and beach. The property is pretty much exactly as described in the listing. The only complaint we have is the AC was set to 80° and checking in at 2pm in July on a 100° day means that the house could not cool down below 78-79°. The home finally hit 78 at midnight, but had been set at 75. Throughout the three nights we stayed the home really struggled to stay at 75 (which is uncomfortable for us when we keep our home set at 68-70°). The host communicated clearly and promptly. Although the instructions on how to sleep in the bed (what covers to use or not use), & the sticky notes what to flush, and saying what temperature is "comfortable" to set the thermostat at while in the house. Seem a bit tacky and overreaching. Would have rated 5 stars if house would have cooled down that first night. Would stay again just not on a 100° week.

We checked the AC after learning it wasn't cooling up to par. HVAC guy found unit running fine, but some ductwork had come loose. We have had it repaired, so cooling properly again.
