The house is beautiful, spacious, comfy, and cozy. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were both terrific. The lakefront beach and deck were also incredible and the sunset over the lake is breathtaking. I’d highly recommend this house.

A wonderful home, perfect for being with my family, A spacious and immaculate house inside and out. We loved being able to use the deck at the end of October. And watching the setting sun over the lake was a great way to finish the day. It was also reassuring to know that if the weather didn’t cooperate, we still had plenty of room inside. Our host was very communicative and quick to reply. My family was so impressed, we have already scheduled our stay for next year.

Wow! We had an incredible 4 nights at this spectacular home in Auburn. The view while watching sunsets and rainstorms was so special! Great host, amenities and furnishings and communication. Having space to enjoy inside and outside was terrific. We had a perfect family gathering to celebrate a special occasion.

The house was very nice. Everything was clean and we had a great time. The main area was spacious and felt like a home, not a rental. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable.We would absolutely stay here again.

The area was very nice, close to stores and restaurants . The property is very high above the shore. There are about 4-5 flights of stairs to go up and down from the water. If you have older people in your party is something to think about. The house has a fully stocked kitchen. The rental had been filled all summer and it’s starting to show. It really should be taken off of the market for a week or two for a deep clean, including a grill clean. The property also needs some serious landscaping work done. Lots of overgrown shrubs and bushes. There are also a lot of wasps to contend with. I believe our host lives next door and recognized this, he sent a pest company over to try to take care of the problem. It helped a little. The potential for this property is endless. The lake is absolutely beautiful, but we paid way over the premium for this level home.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately there are many inaccuracies in your feedback. Our property is thoroughly cleaned and landscaped each week as indicated in reviews received all summer and those after your stay. Additionally the comment about pricing is incorrect. Our property is competitive with the local market for the size and amenities offered. Bees are a seasonal issue for all properties in this area and we had our pest control service come immediately and multiple times to address the issue. We always promptly address issues raised by our guests.

Wonderful property

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Cottage. We enjoyed views, water sports and fishing. We used the outside fireplace every night. Such a fun, relaxing vacation spot!

Fantastic beach house for a weekend stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the sunset beach house! The home was clean and had all the essential cookware necessary for a weekend stay with family. The views on the lake a gorgeous, and the house was in a great location for day trips to Auburn and Ithaca. A++ highly recommend staying here for a family getaway.

Amazing property!

The house was gorgeous, very comfortable and welcoming common areas and had amazing furnishings the covered patio, sun deck by the lake and the dock on the lake made for a great experience all around. The hosts responded to us very quickly and made the check-in / check out process very easy! Definitely going to book again!

Quiet family week at the lake

Wonderful week with our family of 6 at the lake. Plenty to do for 2 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 3 to 13. House was well equipped with fishing gear, basketballs, etc. Lovely view and very comfortable.
