Weekend Getaway at Moosehead Lake

This location was great for a weekend escape! The renters, the Karlson’s, were extremely accommodating and kind. I recommend to any future renters that they bring up their own cooking utensils and cookware. Me and my friend had a great time enjoying the beautiful Moosehead lake and are planning our next trip up to Maine soon!

Moosehead

Our overnight at the cabin was fine. The host never told me where the key was, and I was unable to send him a message due to user unfriendliness of the website. Through a stroke of luck we found a key on the property. If we had not found the key by chance we would have had to try to find accommodations elsewhere. The lack of communication about the key was very disappointing.

Sorry for your inconvenience, but I had emailed you where the key was located prior to you arrival as well as updated the access instructions under your booking details. I'm not sure if there was a glitch with the website but I have had no issues with conveying the location of key with other renters. Always a good idea to check your email regularly, especially if you are unsure of something.

Quiet camp with cozy feel

We had a great 2 nights at this Moosehead lake camp. Very rustic and in time will make a top notch camp. Owner provided plenty of water for all we needed. When we book again we would bring frying pan or cooking sheet, wash cloths, dish cloth and dish towels and your own drinking water. About .4 mile to lake, can see lake from end of driveway. Very quiet, can’t see any neighbors from camp. Less than 1 mile from Blair House inn, convenient to Greenville for supplies just 5 minutes or less away. Chris was very responsive and respectful. I think my favorite part was the wood stove and the dart board! Love the leather couches! Thanks Chris.
