A beautiful place. We had the opportunity to stay in both units and loved them both. Very clean and well appointed. The location is the best! Right in the heart of Auburn. Absolutely loved our stay!

Great place

We loved the location. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Farmers Market was an added bonus. Property was clean, stylish and great to have nice parking. Would highly recommend this place if you are in the Auburn Area

What a charming home located right in historic downtown Auburn. McCann house is a wonderful home to book your stay in. The owners have renovated the home beautifully and kept so much of the original charm of the old Victorian. We were in town for a wedding and the location and amenities within walking distance was great! We were able to get good food within minutes! The property was kept so neat and clean! There was a sweet little patio in the back with tables and chairs. There were also occupants in the downstairs unit and we could hear them at all. All in all a wonderfully, charming home! Would definitely recommend for future guests!

Great stay in downtown Auburn.

This place is great. It was perfect for my family. The homeowner did a great job with their remodel introducing new finishes while maintaining the historical house aesthetic. Off street parking was a huge plus.

Auburn Victorian in downtown

Great location. No need to drive to restaurants, cafés, and shops. Very comfortable house with interesting victorian decor, fully equipped kitchen, and great deck with BBQ. Now we know where to stay when we come to Auburn.

We live in Newcastle and had family visiting (girls trip!). We booked them this place and it was perfect…10 minutes from our place and right in the heart of Auburn. Walkable to shops, restaurants, the bakery, etc. They loved it! Will definitely book again!

Beautiful, centrally located historic home

I wasn't aware that the home is a duplex but I was pleasantly surprised by the ample space and absolutely beautiful upstairs interior. The property was within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and a close drive to the amazing white water rafting opportunities. Simon was kind and helpful during our arrival. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area.

Lovely all around!

My two older sons and I throughly enjoyed this home and its location. It’s very clean and inviting, and has everything you need. There are quite a few delicious restaurants nearby as well! Easily walk to get coffee, danishes, street tacos, authentic Italian, juicy hamburgers, Thai, or frozen yogurt for dessert. The home itself is beautifully done and quite relaxing. We were in the upstairs unit and enjoyed the beautiful views of downtown Auburn. To top it all off, checking in and out was a breeze. Thank you for sharing such a lovely home, we will definitely be back!

Arrived around 9pmish. It was extremely hot (83)inside the house when we arrived. Unbearable. Took a while to cool the house down. We did not use the freezer because its completely frozen when we arrived. The faucet (cold) in the full bathroom we couldn't get it to work. Sometimes cold water would come out and then nothing would come out. The fans were helpful but maybe having an extra one wouldve been better. Especially where the bunk beds are at. We all had a bed and it was hot in that room. The house not ideal for an 80 yr old. Over all it was a good stay. Great location. We would probably stay here again without our mother though. Thank you!

Historic

Tall ceilings and an original picture rail?! Amazing original details in the historic home. We walked to the Farmers market, and downtown. Quick highway 80 access. Three adults and two kids fit perfectly. The boys loved the bunk beds and claimed the house to be cozy and probably haunted. But by good spirits. We would definitely recommend.

Antique Oasis in an historic town

We attended a family friend's wedding outside of Auburn the previous Sunday, so we wanted to extened our stay to further explore the area. The McCann House turned out to be the perfect place.First glimpse is of an early 20th Century semi-mansion right in the middle of town. There's a movie theater next door and a new building going up on the other side. Still, once inside we found this very spacious upper level house to be more than we expected. Two huge bedrooms,, one and a half baths and a well-equipped and upgraded farmhouse style kitchen. They even had an ample supply of ground coffee. If you don't want to make your own, there are two coffee boutique cafes across the street that have sandwiches as well.While the house maintains a period look and feel, you'll be comfortable that all the upgrades function very well. If you've always wanted to try a clawfoot bathtub, they've got one.Everything is just a short walk away - cafes, a variety restaurants including Italian, Thai, Chinese and American. There are a plethora of interesting art, gift, curio, Western and other unique shops all withing a couple of blocks. Auburn's Old Town is a two-minute drive away, well worth visiting.The hosts couldn't be nicer, or more accomodating. Only regret is that we didn't get to meet them personally. They also offer a free tasing at their friend's winery outside of town. Highly recommend!
