Bright, light and airy with pops of poppy red and handcrafted pieces, it's the best of the old with the luxury of the new. Fully renovated in a down to the studs transformation, the interior was thoughtfully designed by Dana with original shiplap, bead board, and hardwoods that are beautifully blended with all new modern decor. Rye -- a Harp Design Co-trained craftsman -- has crafted one-of-a-kind pieces throughout the home.
We have 3 bedrooms with 3 FULL bathrooms (a rare find!). Two bedrooms have their own connected baths in en-suite style for ultimate privacy. We're located in the heart of downtown Waco, a short walk to the Silos, on the next block over. Relax with friends and family on not one, but two, of our large porches (front & back!), or enjoy the private fire pit area in the backyard.
5 Reasons You'll Love Poppy & Rye House
1. Take the short walk to Magnolia (next block over) 2. Settle in to our cozy Adirondack chairs around the fire pit in our backyard 3. Grab a morning cup of coffee at Magnolia Press (just around the corner) 4. Listen to live music at Backyard (free tix for our guests upon request) 5. We're LOCAL. No 3rd party managers for us. You'll have direct access to the owners!
(If this property is unavailable, be sure to check our other vrbo just down the street -- Poppy & Rye Cottage.)
Guest Access: You’ll have full access to the house, driveway and private fenced backyard (with gate). Check yourself in with Schlage Smartlock keypad and one-touch lock as you leave each time. (No keys to keep track of!)
Other things to note: The front bedroom has two (2) twin beds with slide out trundles for four (4) total beds if needed. (Handy for kids / extra guests.) We're within earshot of the Backyard venue which has live music from leading musicians / bands on Thurs, Fri and Saturday nights. You can sit around the firepit in our backyard and enjoy your own "private concert". A plus for most! BUT, if you're the turn-in-early type, we have ear plugs and noise machines on hand to block out the music completely. Check Backyard's concert calendar to see who's playing while you're in town. It’s just around the corner!

Thank you Tracy — we were thrilled to have y’all. Come back any time! #alwayshappytoseeyou
Our stay at Poppy and Rye was so delightful. So creativily designed. Very relaxing inside and out. Block away from the Silos made it super easy to shop and eat and return home in between. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get ready at same time. Would definitely stay here again!!

What a lovely review Sheri! Thank you so much for staying with us — and come back any time! #alwayshappytoseeyou
Beautiful home! Dana made me and my friends welcome from the start! All the notes and little touches made a wonderful impression. It’s too bad we stayed for only one night. We would’ve loved to take advantage of the outdoor fire pit! Dana was also very communicative from the time of our booking. We would definitely stay again!

This Home was absolutely spotless, charming and even better than the pictures. We loved the location! Our room had king size bed that was extremely comfortable, Makeup table that I loved, Including the bathroom amazing shower with a beautiful tub. The kitchen was fully stocked, and coffee bar had amazing white chocolate - blueberry scones. The Host was AMAZING! I wish we could clone Poppy & Rye House to stay in at all my traveling destinations. Thank You

Great location just as stated. Within walking distance to Silos. Very nice home. Cozy and inviting. Spacious and accommodating. Great for families with kids or girls weekend. 3 bathrooms is a bonus.Open concept great to gather. Didn't have a chance to enjoy the backyard and fire pit. But looking forward to another trip for a longer stay to enjoy the back yard.
Decided to do a quick get-away for our Anniversary within 2 hours of Dallas. We had never been to Waco, always passed through. We had settled on Poppy & Rye due to the unbelievable photos the host had posted on vrbo. We were not disappointed- at all. Host thought of everything. It was so welcoming and we loved the blueberry scones and amazing smelling candle that was lit for our arrival and the best part, we didnt need to bring anything but our clothes. Great location, very clean, beautiful decor and finishes. Enjoyed every second we were there. Thank you
