The location was ideal. Close to where we wanted to go yet set in a very quiet neighborhood. 30 minute ride to the airport. We enjoyed coming home at night to a cozy yet spacious home that provided every amenity we could think of.

Rating POORDisliked the listing accuracy it wasn't, received no check-in email from Vrbo, overall cleanliness. This house was located where we needed to be. However, it was not up to Grosse Pointe standards. Vrbo charged our credit card two weeks before we even arrived! Even hotels allow you to see your rooms before they charge you. This house was overpriced for the condition it was in.I had read all the reviews including the 2024 critical reviews & assumed there had been sufficient time to rectify the issues discussed NOPE, nothing had been done! This house needs overall maintenance it lacked curb appeal: railings wobbled; paint was chipped both inside & out; weeds everywhere, dirty windows. The basement shower was moldy, with tiles missing, spackling unfinished & painting unfinished or worn off. The entire basement smelled and felt damp. There were open boxes & bowls of baking soda placed throughout. The coffee pot hot plate was disgusting & caked with burnt coffee. This house is NOT traveler friendly. Other than the bed there was no place for suitcases or personal belongings. There was a creepy crawly in the bedroom with the chalk board paint & when I got down on the floor to see where it went the dust under the bed was unbelievable! The living-room couch was filthy & needed to be vacuumed. The bathroom towels were old and ratty.Unfortunately this was our first time staying at an airb&b. BEWARE!
This is the type of place I look for when I travel. Great location, room to spread out and comfortable! This house has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Neighborhood was quiet and neighbors are friendly. Look forward to coming back.
The house was super clean and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding and the house was conveniently located to the venue. Would definitely stay here again!
Property is in a great neighborhood, it's beautiful and well maintained. Very comfortable bed in master bedroom, I felt like I was at home. Parking available, 3 spots in driveway. TV's in each bedroom and living room. Cool chalkboard wall in 3rd bedroom. Coffee maker, microwave, water pot, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer. Nice jacuzzi tub available. I didn't get the opportunity to use it. Played pool. Great Property! Great Host!
This house had plenty of space and amenities for a family of four or more. Easy check in and out.

The property had plenty of bathrooms and beds to accommodate our family. No garage access if you are looking to park your car but not a huge issue. The host provided responses when asked.
The house is great! Three bedrooms (1 king bed and 2 Queen beds), 2.5 bathrooms, a movie room, a play room (billiards and foosball) and an exercise room. It literally had everything we needed for our holiday stay with adults and kids.Alex is a wonderful host, very kind, polite and extremely responsive, answering all of my questions quickly. The house is in a great location, close to everything we needed. I will definitely be staying here again when we visit Grosse Pointe in the future. Very happy!
We checked in on a Friday and planned to stay until Monday but we only made it a couple of hours. The house did not look like the pictures, and smelled and felt very damp/dingy. There were also no towels in the bathroom and the ones we found were beach towels and again felt and smelled very damp. The downstairs has water stains on the ceiling. Separately, the bedding and beds also smelled weird and were very damp. Overall very disappointed. We quickly checked out and moved to another accommodation but were denied a refund even though we didn't stay a single night of the 3 nights we booked.
Grosse Pointe is an established neighborhood with lots of trees, sidewalks, and great architecture from yesteryear! This particular house was older but very, very clean and well maintained even though there was some quirkiness from updates over the years. It is a warm and inviting place with lots of spaces to get alone, or to be together. We loved every minute! The neighborhood is very walkable and there is good shopping as well as some really excellent restaurants nearby .nearby.excellenrestaurants nearby.hfeatures were

Bit disappointed
Overall it worked for our needs. Basement shower was moldy and dirty. Sheets were terrible and wouldn’t stay on the bed.
Never did get an email explaining the check in or the address or the code. Luckily the owner replied and got us in. VRBO is not good. They are too expensive and will not be using them again.
When your wife and adult kids say “you made a great choice on VRBO” I know they loved the place. Excellent location. I fish Lake St. Clair on Friday and went to the see the Dodgers that night. Both were easy drives. Went back fishing on Saturday with the boat launch 9 minutes away. The house was excellent. Cooked 2 nights. Everything was great. Will be my place on my next fishing trips to Lake St. Clair.
Weekend in Detroit to go to The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
Older home but clean and updated first level. Very nice safe neighborhood. Accommodated 5 adults nicely. It would have been nice to have some information on the immediate area around the house, as we discovered on the last evening that just a few block away there were several quaint places to eat and shop. Very close to Edsel Ford House.
The house/location was great. It had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of towels and lots of extra game stuff to do in the house. The pool table/foozball table & movie room were a great plus. Also we had to communicate a couple time with Alex(property manager) and he got right back to us with the answers to our questions.
Would definitely use this location again.
Really enjoyed stay. Very clean and cute corner house. Central location in a safe quiet neighborhood. A bonus was the basement movie theatre. Wish there had been an elliptical machine and a better weight system in the basement workout room, but other than that everything was perfect. We especially liked the fully stocked kitchen. We will come again!
Our family visited Detroit and stayed in this rental. Everything was clean and comfortable and the younger adults enjoyed the pool table and foosball table in the basement. Would definitely stay again!
Had a great stay. Location perfect for a visit with family in the Pointes and for a game at Ford Field.
Having two bathrooms was so appreciated. We weren’t at the house much but it worked out great. Would stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay in Grosse Pointe Park! The location was perfect for what we needed. Alex was a great host and very responsive. The home itself was very spacious as we had a family ranging from infants to adults. I was surprised at how well stocked the house was! Out of all our travel, this was by far the most well-stocked place we've stayed in. It is an older home but was well maintained for it's age. The rooms were all great size and we even were able to enjoy the yard since the weather was nice. On the minor side of things, I would suggest having house slippers as some of the floors are older stone tile and were a little dirty, but other than that, it was great. We would definitely stay again.
