Sommarstuga is a Scandinavian-inspired modern lakeview retreat near everything the South Cumberland region has to offer! Only 90 minutes from Nashville and 45 minutes from Chattanooga - perfect for a quick getaway or a longer stay. Whether you're hiking the Fiery Gizzard, catching a show at The Caverns, or visiting Sewanee, Sommarstuga provides a comfortable, convenient, and relaxing space for your stay.

With four comfortable beds (one queen in each bedroom and two twins in the full-height loft) and two bathrooms, the home offers room for a larger or extended family. The dining table seats six, and the kitchen is fully equipped for larger gatherings and meals.

The house offers an excellent high-speed internet connection for streaming services and business needs. A level 2 electric vehicle charging unit (J1772 connector) is conveniently located in the parking area.

Please note that we utilize a doorbell camera at this property. We use this only to monitor for safety issues or if we suspect that a house rule, such as occupancy, is being violated. There are no other cameras on the property.

What an adorable tiny home in a great location overlooking a pretty lake. Close to wonderful waterfall hikes and good local restaurants. Very clean and lots of light. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Springtime Stay

Absolutely perfect little rental. The house was excellently appointed and comfortable. This will be a return spot for us to any visit to Swanee region. The deck and fire pit were wonderful additions to our outdoor experience overlooking the lake. The host was seamless at managing the booking and stay experience.

Perfect retreat

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. We had everything needed for a cozy cold weather retreat. I especially enjoyed the living room area which was a great place to read and knit while enjoying my morning coffee. We enjoyed cooking and sharing meals in the spacious kitchen as well. Thank you for sharing this great property with us. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Perfect Little Retreat!

Perfect location between Clarksville and Atlanta to meet with our daughter and son-in-law! Beautiful water view, super clean with anything you need. We enjoyed our stay so much and would highly recommend!!

Lovely place! Would return!

Clean, open, lovely light, simple minimalist decor. My five kids and I loved our mini getaway! The beds were so comfy - I checked the tag on the pillow so I could order the same ones when I got home! Everything was just perfect - from the cozy living room to the fire pit to the spacious kitchen. The kids also enjoyed visiting the playground and dock area in the community. We would love to come back another time for a longer stay!

Lovely home

We had plans on Monteagle and chose this location as it was close and 2 beds and 2 baths. Home was very clean, comfortable, has many bath and kitchen necessities there as well as coffee and tea available. Beds were comfortable, pillows a little thick for us, but we brought our own so no issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and when we come again next time will certainly check availability as we would love staying there again. Oh, also close to the lake with lovely views. When I had a question Valerie was quick to get back with me. Great house and great customer service.
