Reviewer Comments:
We visited for 5 days in July 2025. The house was well equipped and in a safe neighborhood. The kitchen supplies, adequate linens, and the washer/dryer was a big plus. Restaurants and grocery stores were close by. The only warning I would mention is that the stairway to second floor was very narrow with very low ceilings in the stairway. I would recommend that only children should be housed in the second floor.

We are glad that you enjoyed the home for the most part. Yes, it is an old character home that has been brought up to date and modernized with our bedding and furniture and such, the ceiling going the stairs has one spot it is a bit low but we do have signs to watch your head
The Garden House was really wonderful! The kitchen is fully stocked. The home was clean and the beds super comfy! It’s so close to town and the backyard space was great. We also loved having dedicated parking but on street parking (in March) was abundant. We got a text from the property management company welcoming us to the property and the text also said “ We're so glad you're staying with us. If there is anything you need, simply respond to this message. We always want to know if there's anything that can make your stay better or if you find any issues that we can address immediately or before the next guests. We hope you enjoy your stay!”. I did text twice with questions but unfortunately did not get any response. They were simple questions so I did not feel it necessary to pursue emailing or messaging in the app. But might be something worth looking at to make it better! Also, the twin bed upstairs is set up on a piece of wood that sits into the frame. But the wood is not as wide as the frame so there is possibility of it sliding off the frame and collapsing. Luckily nobody was hurt but it may be worth reinforcing that piece of wood so it doesn’t slide out! We would definitely stay at Garden House again!

Hi Crystal
I am so sorry about not getting back to you. Honestly I remember responding to your questions but I don’t see my answers in the app. I am not sure what happened. I really do always respond so that was a total fluke. I do hope you come back to visit us again and I promise you will hear from me then!!
Also as for the bed it has been fixed!!
Great little house. Great yard. We enjoyed it and i’d stay again bc of the proximity to local family. Several things you should look at: rugs are old and turned up in the corners. I was worried my mom would trip. No dresser in the king room. Also the step into the kitchen/bathroom is scary for midnight runs to the loo. We consequently left the kitchen lights on. Biggest issue was THE RODEO. Soooooo loud and obnoxious. No escaping the loud speaker. No one could sleep until it was over. Yuck. I don’t see how this is allowed in the village; the neighbors must go nuts. It was the single reason this isn’t a five star review.

Thank you for the feedback… the rugs are actually not old but I will definitely take a look and see if I can do something to help with that. The step into the kitchen is just part of having an older character home. Sorry that bothered you. As for the rodeo, most people love the craziness of it all! I live on the same street and think it is super entertaining each night to listen to, but definitely loud. I guess it’s part of being intown during the 4th of July.
