Cozy 2 bedroom (duplex building) unit that sits directly on the historic Pinellas trail. The home is fully equipped with all necessities to enjoy a short vacation with family and friends. Both bedrooms and living room have a Roku smart TV, comfy queen beds, stocked kitchen, full bath, and beautiful natural sunlight beaming through the unit. There is a small front porch to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening. 2 charcoal grills have been added to the property for guest use! The home is centrally located to many surrounding popular cities (Clearwater, Dunedin, Tampa, St Petersburg). The famous Clearwater Beach is a short ~15 minute drive, with the closet beach being under 10 minutes. **please note there is a security camera facing the home for safety reasons. There are no cameras inside of the house!**

Not great

For what was noted as a new property, I was quite disappointed. The workmanship of "upgrades" was poor at best. There were no smoke detectors at the property. It was clear there were 3 there at some point but they had been removed. That alone made me quite nervous! The overhead kitchen light barely produced any light and there was no light in the fridge (bulb burned out?). The beds squeaked loudly if one person rolled over. Someone just needs to tighten the screws on the bed frame (such an easy fix). The tub insert was cracked which only means there must be a ton of mold growing in the bathroom. Additionally, there were no towel racks, no toilet paper holder and no matching towels. I don't expect full luxury when I rent a VRBO but I do expect a minimum standard. I would not stay at this property again.

Musty smell and dark, disappointed

I was excited to stay at this property by the trail. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by it. There was a very strong musty smell upon our arrival which made my husband feel unwell pretty quickly. The kitchen and living room were very dark and the towel in the bathroom was dirty or had stains on it. We shared our concerns with the owners and asked for any kind of partial refund since we could not stay. We tried to be very kind and left the rental exactly as we found it since we only stayed an hour or so We got a room at a nearby hotel and so paid double for our 3 day trip. The owners said they would be penalized if they cancelled the reservation and refunded us and that I should reach out to VRBO, which I did. VRBO said the owners should cancel on their side and refund and ask for a cancellation waiver from VRBO. However we did not hear back from the owners again except for auto generated texts. We did not receive any type of refund which is obviously the owners choice. But we can not recommend this home.

Why they chose this property

Tucked away at the end of the street directly right on the historic Pinellas trail which was once a railroad (now paved with concrete). There are 4 units that sit on our huge property, making you feel like you are vacationing in your own little area. The home is very centrally located and an easy drive to theme parks, beaches, malls, theaters, and dining!
