Awesome stay, accurate listing

The place was as pictured; nicely sized unit with plenty of space for larger groups. We enjoyed our stay and Jamal was super attentive when we needed assistance!

My stay sas great although there were some hiccups along the way. Our host jay stayed communicative throughout the whole stay even compensating me when my stay didn’t turn out I’d hoped. All in all a great place and better host. 10/10

A clean and well kept home

Jay, the owner is very responsive and accommodating. He was always quick to respond. The home was as advertised clean, neat and tidy. The one minor problem was that the washer and dryer were not hooked up yet and the master bedroom was a little warmer than the other rooms. Overall a good experience and a very responsive host. Not the best stay

Clean, easy check-in but….we hooked downstairs and were moved upstairs which we hated. Neighborhood is HORRIBLE! Trash littered the sidewalks, loud music all night, and fireworks in May! BTW, if you want to be a grown up and control the temp or your environment do NOT stay here. You have to call for temp adjustments. And NO FACE TOWELS, had to buy some. And something I didn’t notice were no tvs in the bedrooms.

The change in unit was communicated to you directly several days before your arrival, and we ensured it was a comparable or upgraded accommodation. We always aim to be transparent and proactive when adjustments are needed. Regarding the TVs, the listing does not advertise TVs in the bedrooms, and we try to clearly set expectations through our photos and description. That said, we appreciate your suggestion and will take it into consideration as we look to improve. The thermostat is centrally managed to maintain safety and consistency, but we’re always just a message away to make temperature adjustments upon request. We regret that this felt inconvenient for you. We also understand that the neighborhood’s energy isn’t for everyone — while many guests enjoy its vibrancy, we recognize it may not suit all preferences. Poor Experience

My experience with Jay the property manager is really poor. This is not my first home rental experience but this has been my worst so far in terms of checkin process, communication and transparency.I was charged for replacing a whole new nightstand despite no evidence supporting claim that I stained the item. I didn’t stain the nightstand, I was charged for losing the TV remotes despite the cleaners not doing their job of fetching where the remotes is.I was charged a late checkout fee of which I explained to him prior to checking out which he agreed to. But then I had to wait almost an hour to checkin to the property. I’m not sure if this is a way he and the cleaner extorts customers but it feels like that to me. I won’t recommend this listing if you’re visiting Newark. Do
