Vista Suite at El Encanto- Views, Privacy, Close to Beach

El Encanto's Vista Suite includes a large bedroom with King bed and bathroom with large covered patio with incredible views. Watch the sunrise or the full moon rise from the sea. Keep drinks and snacks in the small refrigerator. Coffee and tea service included. Read or lounge in the comfortable hammocks. We're only a 2 minute walk to the beach, and no more than 5 minute walk to all dive shops and restaurants. You have use of snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, and ice chests. Use the outdoor shower to clean salt and sand off after the beach. Watch whales from the patio in season. Includes wonderful attention to detail, original art, native craft, a safe for your valuables and much more. Beautiful handmade palm frond palapa roof. Air conditioning available for an extra charge. There's plenty to do in Cabo Pulmo: diving, snorkeling, swim, hike 20 miles of trails, rent a mountain bike, go sport fishing, whale watching or go on a rancho tour.

El Encanto is beautiful property and well thought out with amenities- everything just sort of works...well except for no power on the last 2 days of our stay. We loved the beaches and snorkeled almost every day. The restaurants in town are really good. Did not have a bad meal.

A perfect winter getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Vista Suite. The sunrises were gorgeous, views of whales spouting in the distance, many hours of relaxing and reading in the comfy hammocks. There are plenty of activities available within walking distance. We enjoyed a nearby hike, meals at local restaurants, and an amazing snorkeling trip. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful home

There is so many wonderful things to say about this beautiful home. I stayed in the upstairs suite which was perfect for a single traveler. The indoor/outdoor living space was relaxing and full with birds in the morning. Since you are on the second floor you are looking right into the tops of the trees where all the birds hang out. It was wonderful sitting out on the porch in the cool evening breeze and hearing the ocean as you fall asleep. Everything you need for the beach is provided, including snorkeling gear and an outdoor shower when you return. I love this space and I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Cabo Pulmo. I will definitely return.

A special place to stay

We loved this very artsy place. Every time I stopped for a second I noticed something new in the artwork. Our favourite part of the apartment was the large deck where we could enjoy the sun and the view and watch the world go by. The kitchen has small fridge but big enough for your snacks for a few days. You will need to bring snacks, breakfast items because there are no stores in Cabo Pulmo. The coffee that was provided was really good too. Keep an eye out for the cardinals and other interesting birds. There was a mouse or two around so don’t keep your food where they could get into it. Also be careful with the windows, the wind can slam them shut if it is really windy. We only had a chance to try two restaurants and the Coral Beach was the best. Note, Monday nights, this is the only one open in Cabo Pulmo. If you need anything at all, email Henri and he will help you. Also, ask Henri where the hiking trails are. We went on a long hike up a ridge above the town and it was really beautiful. We are hoping to return to Cabo Pulmo to do some diving in prime season and hope to stay here again.

Beautiful place in a special town

You can tell an artist owns this place as it is so beautifully put together with my artistic touches in the design and decor. Very comfortable beds and didn't need to run the air as the family over the bed was more than adequate. Appreciated all the beach equipment and we had a really great time snorkeling. I will plan my return trip around availability of this property.

I have been to Cabo Pulmo multiple times this has been the absolute BEST place I have ever stayed. The location is perfect and I had great views of Sea of Cortez, mountains, sunrise & sunset... Loved it. The grounds are lush with plants and very creative metal sculptures. The creative & colorful tile work and building painting is such a treat to my eyes & mind. Communication with the owner and property manager was fast & wonderful. Thank You, I will be back!

The pictures don't do this art justice. One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed in. The house and gardens are art at its best. Cabo pulmo is a magical location. A self sustaining community of wonderful people. If you are looking for miles of beaches to yourself, waking up to the sound of songbirds, and miles of wilderness to wander, this is the place for you. This is the best way to experience the Baja. Cabo is great for catching the majority of the tourist to keep this place magical for years to come. Thanks!

Exceptional Vacation Site

I chose to vacation in Cabo Pulmo so that I could relax in a quiet setting, take morning walks through the desert, snorkel and dive on the reefs. (The water was 85F.) Certainly I got all of what I expected...and it's what I didn't expect and yet received...that made this vacation wonderful. The Vista Suite is a work of art. I realized I had stumbled into an artist's and intellectual's realm. Literally, it was like being inside the head of an artist and seeing the world through their eyes. Every wall has fascinating original art and is painted in dramatic color. The furniture is hand painted. All details (door hinges, bottle openers, window frames and even the toilet paper holders) are hand crafted, intentional and stunning in their detail. Really interesting--thought provoking books filled bookcases and are piled here and there to enjoy. The grounds are enclosed by tall colorful walls that create a (yes) sacred and private space that is filled with gardens of tended native plants, birds, lizards and butterflies. With evening came dark--real dark. I hadn't seen real dark forever and I embraced it each night from the open roof terrace where I was lucky enough to greet the full moon and marvel at the Milky Way and shooting stars. And although it took a little while to comprehend, I also realized that along with the art, books, comfy bed, and outrageous desert, that quiet was also included. Real Quiet. I slept deeply every night; I was inspired by the natural beauty of the desert and sea; I was stimulated by the art and books; I relaxed and at the same time became rejuvenated. The Vista was large enough for four of us to ramble about and have plenty of space. If any of us experienced any inconveniences I don't recall them. I'm a business man who generally finds it difficult to unplug...accept for here. I recommend this experience to revitalize and connect with art, architecture, nature, dark and quiet. I''ll return to the Vista Suite. Thank you.

We designed El Encanto to reflect our love of nature and art, with integrated living spaces that open onto covered patios and gardens, making the most of the mild climate. The home features original artwork by Diane and other favorite artists, plus heaps of traditional handicrafts collected over years of Mexico travel. We conceived of the home and gardens as a giant art project. It was truly a labor of love manifested over two years, working closely with local craftsmen.

Why they chose this property

We discovered Cabo Pulmo in January of 1993, a sleepy Mexican fishing village and well-kept secret among a handful of adventurous gringo fishermen and watersport enthusiasts. When we purchased our property later that year, we aspired to a simpler life, closer to nature and away from the frenetic pace of city living. Two years later, we were able to sell our business in California and move to Mexico to realize our dream!
