Bedrooms can be closed off for AC, but we always sleep with the windows wide open.

In the quiet misty mornings, the calm water is a crystal clear Santorini blue that is almost indistinguishable from the dazzling blue sky. As the sun comes up, track the fun below on Playa la Ropa, with families staking out their spot in the sand or at one of many popular beachfront restaurants.

Watch the sailboats bob in the water while small panga boats dash back and forth across the bay. Parasailers will glide in front of the expansive living room and common area and you’ll be tempted to pop down to the beach to join in the fun… or you might just choose to settle down with a cold cocktail in the private pool and enjoy your perch on high.

This unit is very nice and the views are very good. But it is in building B behind building A allot of the view is of the back of building A, and if people leave lights on in building A they can shine in the besroom at night. There are shudders and you can close the windows but the point of being here for us is to sleep with them open see the stars, moon and lidten to the ocean which is soooo awesome! The large cooling pool is absolutely awesome. It is geeatvduri g the dayvand even better at night if you want tonrelax and enjoy the view while cooling down. The bebooms and beds are very comfortable with lots of drawers and closet space. Living room being wide open is fantastic.with the view and breezeyou get. Plus the tv room cools down the best and is nice for cooling down and having a comfortable.place to read. The only issue with the tvs is they are old and you cant stream your phones to them. Which in todays world is something most travelrs expect, especially when tvs are very in exspensive. They did have dvd players but none of them worked and there where no dvds. Check in was easy! However there was no clean bottled water for drinking when we arrived! There was bat poop to clean up every morning by the entery way. The manager Harriet was easy to get a hold of and very accommodating but they are in California and Erica who looks after the unit here was often not available. The safe in the main bedroom had issues make sure to have the key for it left with you! Great place!

Incredible Views and Great Location

This place is stunning: spacious, comfortable, and great dipping pool. Wonderful location above La Ropa Beach! Short walk to numerous fabulous beach restaurants like La Perla, Tritone and Gaviota. Helpful staff with good ideas for groceries like Soriana Híper and there’s an abundance of taxis to go anywhere. Also beautiful views of Las Gatas!

Views to die for above La Ropa

Leaving Zihua with serotonin fully restored. What a stunning home in a beautiful location. Central to everything and with all the modern conveniences. Sunsets are insane from any vantage. We could watch the activity in the bay for hours and the sounds of the wave crashing on the beach. We can’t wait to return. Big thanks to Harriet, Erica and Sonia for a wonderful stay.

It was wonderful to be back in Zihuatanejo for our annual visit, especially given that the Zihua Penthouse, in our opinion, is one of the best places to stay. We feel so much at home in the Penthouse which has everything we need for a comfortable stay. We love the Spanish architecture of the place, and its commanding view of Zihua Bay. It's only a short walk to La Ropa Beach and nearby restaurants. We especially enjoy the subtle sound of waves washing ashore while laying in bed at night. We highly recommend the Penthouse for those seeking a relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful view! The open air living made for a beautiful and relaxing vacation. Ended each and every day with a glass of wine enjoying amazing the soaking tub in the main room. Everything was clean and the unit is well appointed with everything you need yo make you feel at home. The only suggestion is to bring cards or games for entertainment. We did not find any there and could only find Mexican cards at the store.

You cannot beat the views of this place. The pool is also one of its best features - awesome. We have stayed at this complex before so we know it is a great location and staying in this penthouse was a real treat! You are in an open air jungle atmosphere (which I knew) so you need to be comfortable with the residents of that jungle to stay here. Erika the property manager was awesome. Any issue we had she was very responsive to so she is a real gem - thank you Erika! Beds are comfortable - maid service was great!

PH overlooking Zihua Bay

Meeting Erika the manager starts your holiday off right, she could not be more helpful. A great sized PH vacation home with amazing Zihua bay views & a lovely layout. Lounge gets very hot even with shades so the Dip pool is a bonus to have, but must check usage times. Kitchen very clean & really has everything you need. We only used the maid service twice but she was very good Security staff very friendly & helpful. The PH elevator can be prone to breaking down so may need to consider if mobility is a concern. Amazing well kept grounds & pools, be aware 1 pool is owners only at certain times, can become an issue during busy periods. Previous reviews discussed bats etc, in the lounge, we only saw bat guano, & geckos, no issues. Suggestion would be to have small pair of binoculars to see birds in trees. Had a couple of issues that were resolved timely by Erika, maintenance & owner. We definitely recommend this PH.

Spent 12 days in this property with family (all adults) in Zihuatanejo over Christmas and New Years. The condo is very well laid out and is in a great location in the La Ropa area with an amazing view. It was extremely well equipped and everything was top notch. Approximately 5-10 minute walk to the beach and many great restaurants (steep downhill to get anywhere, and obviously steep uphill to get back). In our view it was too far to walk to the central area of the town; luckily we had a car which we used to get to town, the Mega grocery store, Ixtapa for workouts and a yacht rental, and other further away beach areas such as Playa Linda, Troncones and Soliditas (the most charming and uncrowded of all!). The grounds and pool area are well maintained and lovely. The staff on the complex were pleasant and helpful and the cleaning people were friendly and efficient. Our only complaints were with respect to the resident bats and the ants in the kitchen. Someone came by to measure for bat nets but they weren't installed during our stay. Even when we left the lights on overnight, we still had to sweep up the droppings every morning. We also had to keep spraying Raid in the kitchen to keep the ants away - it appeared they were coming down the walls from the roof, which is, I suppose, what you should expect in an open-air condo. It was a bit annoying but certainly didn't spoil our holiday. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the condo and the area immensely.

Spectacular week in the penthouse!

I don't even know where to start! This place was just magnificent. When we first arrived, Erika was there to meet us with margaritas on the bar! She gave us a tour of the house and showed us where to find things and how everything worked. She was just delightful and made us feel right at home-although it was hard to focus on the tour as we couldn't take our eyes off the view! We started most days slowly, with coffee and a book on the big couch. Then we would head down to the beach on foot (usually took a cab back-it's so easy to get a cab everywhere here). We loved the beach and playing in the waves. Uncrowded and beautiful. We took excursions to Las Gatas and Playa Ixtapa. Loved the snorkeling at Playa Ixtapa. The water isn't crystal clear but SO many fish. Would recommend both of those excursions. Refer to Harriet's Guide (that she will send you when you book and there is a hard copy in the PH) for instructions how to get there-super easy and affordable and FUN! We liked Arena, Paty's Mar y Mar and Dona Prudencia on La Ropa and Las Vieja's in Zihua. Our favorite was Las Adelitas, just off the beach, you can easily walk there. We went there three times in one week! For our airport shuttle, we couldn't more highly recommend Zihua Ixtapa Transportation. Excellent communication, they were right on time, friendly and the van was very comfortable. A beautiful condo with an incredible view was made even more special by the fantastic communication and service from the Property Manager, Harriet, the Concierge, Erika and the housekeeper, Sonia. They put the week over the top! They are so accommodation and thoughtful. We had a little fluke issue with some electrical problem and they had 3 electricians there the next day, which was a holiday! Amazing! We were very impressed with the service we received from start to finish. Thank you so much for one of the best vacations ever!

After a two-year hiatus from travel due to covid, we were so glad to be back in Zihuatanejo for several weeks. This unit was the best ever that we've experienced in Zihuatanejo - beautiful architecture, gorgeous view of Zihuatanejo bay. We loved the open air of the living/dining/kitchen area. The on-site manager Erika was very helpful, and of course Harriet was very accommodating which made our stay so enjoyable. We are already booked and looking forward to returning to this property in 2023.

That view!!!

This property was exactly as described and exactly what we expected. It was well equipped, convenient and comfortable. As it is open air, we did experience the various things others described but the view far offset any small inconveniences. We would definitely visit again!
