Rustic Farm cottage with firepit-horses, goats and fresh eggs every morning.
Life on our little farm is peaceful and relaxing nestled away in the outskirts of Phenix City. Enjoy feeding the chickens, friendly goats and horses, leisurely nights sitting around the fire. No better place to sleep in, enjoy fresh eggs, pet animals, sit around a fire at night, and take endless adorable pictures without any of the feeding, mucking, or egg-collecting. (Unless, of course, you want to.)

Visiting the area to reunite family. The cottage turned out to be the perfect place for a family gathering. Cozy, comfortable, and the horses and tree swing were a big hit with the grandchildren. Angie was a great host and was responsive to all our questions and needs. We have already made plans to return!
Loved all the animals and things to do! Angie was an amazing host and we had so much fun! We enjoyed how sweet her horses and goats were! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!
Do NOT stay here. The unit was in terrible condition from the moment we arrived.Major issues:The property was dirty and unkempt. We found live German roaches and palmetto roaches, a dead mouse, and mouse droppings on an unused bed.The central air conditioning was completely out for the first day and a half in the middle of May heat. I had to bring my own portable AC just to make it bearable. The shower/tub drain was so slow that the water filled up to ankle level during showers.Worst of all, there was a bed bug infestation. My elderly mother was badly bitten all over her arms and legs. She had to see a doctor for treatment of the bites. The host was initially difficult when we asked for a fair refund. We only received a full refund after escalating to VRBO’s escalations team.VRBO eventually did the right thing and issued a full refund, but the damage to our trip and my mother’s health was already done. This property is not suitable for guests, especially anyone with children or elderly family members.Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
It’s a quiet little place between 2 horse pastures. Animals are friendly. Hosts are great people. There was plenty of room for kids toRun around and play ball. Beds are comfortable. Just a good experience all around.
My young adult son, daughter, and I stayed here for a pickleball tournament in Opelika. It was easy to communicate with the owners (who live behind the VRBO rental.) The place was clean. Horses, goats, and chickens gave us an enjoyable and unique experience. We enjoyed fresh farm eggs every morning. :) I would recommend this for people who enjoy farms!
