Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute house, very comfortable bed. Great shower! There needs to be a pathway from gate to house. Rain made it wet and muddy. Also, there needs to be clear directions on how to operate tv.

Great Location but Needs a Serious Deep Clean

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this property is great. It is not right in the middle of town but close enough to enjoy everything Fredericksburg has to offer. I especially appreciated the breezy outdoor space. I was able to sit outside with my coffee at the end of July, which was such a pleasant surprise. They also provided plenty of basic toiletry items, which I appreciated.That said, there are a few issues that need attention. The moment you walk in, there is a strong unpleasant odor that lingers and is hard to ignore. The home needs a much deeper level of cleaning and overall maintenance. The bathroom had an old stained clear shower curtain and visible mildew in the shower. It is not just a surface clean that is needed. Furniture should be moved and every area cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom. A proper deep cleaning would make a huge difference.

Disappointed in cottage

It was very unwelcoming the minute we stepped on the front porch. Porch dirty, welcome mat under a rocking chair that had not been cleaned off in a very long time. The highlight of the rental was the bed. It was very comfortable. Once that has been said everything has been said. We could have stayed in a VERY nice hotel for the price we paid. Very disappointed.
