The house was perfect location for our adventures. It is only a few minutes to Newport Vt and 30 minutesor so to Canada. The house is on the lake and very clean.
Beautiful property! We loved using the kayaks and canoe, and enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch. Cornhole and many games at the house were a hit! The main floor is accessible layout is very, which made it easy for my elderly parents. Overall this is a great spot for a multigenerational vacation.
The house was well appointed and the size perfect for our five person group. Paige was available and responsive. The Lamoille bike trail is fantastic and a quick 45 min drive away. Hiking at j peak was great. We were disappointed that this area of the lake was not inviting for swimming.
We had a fabulous fall weekend in the Northeast Kingdom and this secluded lake house was the perfect base. The kitchen was fully stocked (appreciate both the Keurig and big coffee maker options!) and there was plenty of room to enjoy meals together. We took advantage of the screened in porch for sunrise/sunsets with our drinks. Not only did we see two bald eagles fly right up to the seating area overlooking the lake but we were greeted by the sound of loons in the mornings. At night the sky was so clear we were able to identify many constellations and even saw the Milky Way (all while around the campfire). Location was close to a few restaurants and grocery stores too. Highly recommend taking the 30 minute drive down to Lake Willoughby for a gorgeous hike and a 15 minute drive to Rooty's Orchard for delicious and fresh pressed apple cider and warm apple cider donuts. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for sharing this lovely home and making it such a cozy vacation!
Everything was perfect and exactly as described! Very well-equipped kitchen. It rained for most of our stay so we weren't able to get outside much, but loved watching a loon and osprey from the porch.
We had a lovely stay! There were 6 of us, a toddler, and a dog and the house accomodated us perfectly. The beachy area was a little overgrown, but definitely not unbearable. The weather held out and we were able to kayak and canoe for the entire day. We wandered into town one afternoon and got some ice cream from Tim and Dougs which was delicious! The house was clean, roomy, and had all of the kitchen equipment needed to prepare all of our meals. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise and making our friend reunion so much better!
We had a great stay and everything was as described. Since it was a ski weekend we did not make use of the outdoor features other than to walk the dog. Nice sunrise over the lake in the morning!
Well maintained beautiful home! We could not have been happier with our experience. The kitchen was well equipped and the location is perfectly situated near Newport and only 30 minute from Jay Peak. Everything was spotless and comfortable and the lake views were amazing. Highly recommended this property and we'll definitely be back this summer and winter!
This was our second time renting this property. We had an excellent experience and would stay here again. The property is very comfortable and well maintained. We loved the views and the convenience to Jay Peak.
This property was wonderful. Listing was accurate. Set up and space was perfect for multiple families. Great kitchen and dining area. It was clean and comfortable. Host was a great communicator and check-in was easy. Thank you. We'd definitely stay here again.
We loved everything about this house… location, cleanliness, decor, fireplace, amazing view, coffee bar and attentive host! Wonderful house to relax and spend time with family!
My family and I had a great time at the home. It was very clean with all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe down by the water. Great spot to have a quiet trip.
comfortable lodgings in great location for visiting northern Lake Champlain, Vermont locations. As birdwatchers we spent four days exploring birding "hot spots."
Lovely and well equipped home right on the lake. Very peaceful. Located close to the town of Newport and a short drive to explore several nearby towns and hiking and biking trails.
The property was really nice, the view of the lake and mountains was unbeatable. We enjoyed having kayaks available to go around the lake. The kitchen is pretty big and very well stocked. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to be back soon@
