Great location. Small but everything you need. It is on the main road in Waikiki and can be a little noisy. People watching is great.

We stayed in room 608 late Oct '25 and the room was everything we hoped it'd be. Blown away by the responsive and accommodating staff, the views from the balcony, the cleanliness, the amenities... the entire experience was perfect. Didn't even need a car until our day-trip to the North Shore. Wouldn't ask for or change a thing, and will definitely be back to the Waikiki Grand.

Was a pleasant stay. Friendly staff.

Just big enough for 2. Nice location and the 10th floor balcony was perfect for get togethers with friends. Room could use a full length mirror and bathroom area was tight. Lots of hooks to hang things

perfect beach getaway!

This was the perfect place for my stay in Waikiki. So close to the beach and all the amenities! But I loved the view of Diamond Head from the balcony too! The suite is cozy but functional with everything I needed to make simple meals. I really appreciated all the hooks, which is something that is often missing in these sorts of places - hooks are SOOO handy!

The room was very cute and well set up—perfectly adequate in size for two people, especially for a studio. The ocean view was absolutely worth it and made the stay feel special. Communication with the host was timely and helpful leading up to our stay. The rooftop terrace wasn’t quite as large as pictured, as there weren't any umbrellas for shade, but it was still a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the sunsets. The location is prime, check-in was easy, and the staff was pleasant and welcoming. A nice bonus was having beach chairs and umbrellas available to borrow, which saved us from renting them. Communication with the host was timely and helpful throughout our stay. The only downsides were that housekeeping didn’t refill the body soap, the price felt a bit high for a studio, and there was considerable street noise at night—cars and motorcycles were more disruptive than the Hula Bar four floors below. Bring a white noise machine to help filter out the loudness.Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here - we stayed on sixth floor and the views were delightful.

great view of Diamond head and ocean but the street noise is unbearable. The motorcycles are so so loud. Buses and trucks continuous noise. The interior was clean but desperately needs updating. Location was very good.

The room is much smaller than depicted in the photos and the location is very noisy. We didn’t get much sleep between the noisy street and the bar on the second floor. The view is great, but the sliding door to the balcony constantly comes off the track and is nearly impossible to use. Some attempt has obviously been made to fix it, but it needs replacing. This unit shouldn’t be rented until it is fixed. I don’t think I could have opened and closed it without my husband.

Great location near beach but not for everyone

I have stayed at the Waikiki Grand several times before, in units other the the one I just stayed at. Compared to the others, this one was dated and tired. It needed to be cleaned better and updated. The bed was extremely soft, and not in a good way. Also, the noise at this visit was excessive compared to previous stays. Lots of noisy cars and one very persistent motorcyclist who drove by every night, late at night, rev'ing his engine very loudly. The bar on the second floor has a karaoke night and it is quite loud also. So, all in all, we had mixed emotions about this unit. We like the convenience of the location, but the noise, and condition of the unit were negatives.

The hotel's location was highly advantageous, offering convenient walking access to the beach and a picturesque view of Diamond Head volcano from the balcony. While the room was compact, it was ideally suited for a couples' retreat. My primary concern pertains to the significant noise levels; external sounds such as pedestrian traffic, city buses, and general street noise from the park opposite the hotel were distinctly audible, creating an impression that the windows were open despite being closed. I recommend considering an upgrade to the glass doors to incorporate a soundproofing system or similar solution. Aside from this, the room itself was excellent.
