The Neighborhood: 1.6 miles away from Kapiolani Park. Waikiki Aquarium are a 20 minutes walk. 5 mins aways driving to Kūhiō beach. 1 mile away from Honolulu zoo. Walking distanc from the Waikiki Market place, International Market place and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
Getting Around: We recommend only renting a car on days you plan to go North Shore
If you choose not to rent a car, there are multiple bus routes just steps away.
Uber or Lyft also available. Everything else is walking distance or easily accessible by bus which is one of the best systems in the US.

The location was amazing, just a quick walk to the main area. The kitchen was well-furnished and we were easily able to make breakfast each day. There is no central air-conditioning, just a free standing unit that was not working during our stay. The bathroom was dated and had signs of mildew.
Million dollar views! Kitchen is well stocked for cooking some meals. Amenities are nice. Good breeze so you don't need to use the AC much. Bathroom is outdated, but who cares as long as hot water is cooperating, and it did.Location is very good, not on the beach, but close enough and close to all the actions and buses if you want to travel around.

The area was close to everything in walking distance, the view was absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again in coming back to that location.

Host was available whenever we had a question. We seemed to have everything we needed dishes, utensils, cookware to have some 'home cooked meals' while here. Bed was very comfortable.

We've stayed in this building (Island Colony) 3 times, and this was our favorite unit. It has excellent views of Diamond Head, Waikiki, the golf course, the mountains, and Ala Wai Boulevard. The building is well-run and has a fantastic pool and hot tub. There's also parking on-site, though it's pricey (but comparable to all other parking in the area). Communication with this host was excellent, responding very quickly to questions before and during our stay. Front desk staff and security were also welcoming and efficient, and other guests were friendly and family-oriented. The unit was well-stocked with toiletries, beach gear, and cooking supplies. The futon in the living room was easily changed into an extra bed. No, the building and the unit aren't new, but it's clean, comfortable, and affordable. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend!

Kitchen was upgraded but no cutlery matched. Looked like they came from thrift stores.
Fridge was good? Newer.
Location and views were great. Space was plenty and it was nice to have a kitchen. I did not catch in the description that there is no air conditioning throughout the apartment, however the unit in the bedroom was helpful and the cross breeze was good when the AC was not on.
The check in process was simple. The location and the view were fabulous. There were plenty of dining and shopping options within 10 to 20 minutes of easy stroll. There were beach towels, body surf boards, and snorkeling equipment. Communication with the hosting team was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We got there and it appeared to be some sort of hostel for young people and itinerant populations. The common areas were crowded, dirty, elevators fit 2-3 people, luggage counts as a person. Horrible cooking smells throughout. Garage was so tight, I just assumed our rental would be damaged. They used paper forms to check in!! We were actually afraid to stay and left within the hour of arriving - and no one was at check-in at all when we left. It was a disaster. We found other accommodations for our trip...and had to pay for this, too. Tried to find someone to talk to on site and found no one at all. We reported the entity to our AmEx to investigate and filed a report with the MN Attorney General's Office. I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone. If I was VRBO, I wouldn't want to be affiliated with these grifters.
