I loved every minute of my stay. The property is beautiful and the garage was an added bonus that kept my motorcycle safe and dry when it rained a couple of times. DEFINITELY recommend!!!

Thanks Michael! I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin-It's a great spot to explore all the fun roads in the area! Thanks for being such an awesome guest!
This cabin was perfect for our short little trip to lake Fontana. The cabin was well stocked with everything that we needed for our trip. The host was fabulous to work with. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Fontana! Pet friendly! Super cute and VERY clean!
Small but extremely efficient cabin. Super clean and well taken care of property tucked back in the woods. Great porch and view. Lots of nice personal touches that make your stay nicer. Host very responsive and helpful.
The gravel road from the main road was well maintained. WIFI was excellent. The home was spotless. Well stocked kitchen including basic spices, cleaning supplies, pots and pans. Very quiet location. So peaceful.
Our host was always available to answer any questions we had. The cabin was very clean, cozy and well stocked with everything to make our stay enjoyable.
First of all the location is fantastic. It's close enough to Robinsonville for groceries and right off 28 for access to the dam, Cherohala, Foothills parkway, and the Blue Ridge ParkwayThe garage is great and fits two vehicles. The cabin is nice and cozy. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch. The mini split heat pumps kept everything comfy even though there was a heat wave outside Thanks for sharing this haven with us!!
We had a great stay! The cabin is super cozy and had all the essentials for us (including the dogs). Very quiet and feels private, even with other cabins nearby. Our dogs loved running around the yard and catching all the smells :) Great place if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in the mountains. The host communicated everything upfront and checked in on us throughout our stay; a couple winter storms came through so we stocked up on food ahead of time. Cabin was clean, well kept, and nicely decorated. Would stay here again!
We had a wonderful time in the cabin! The firepit was a plus that we used every night. The view from the porch was delightful. The amenities were more than we expected. A little home away from home!
We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at this very cute cabin. basically everything was provided for use aside from food and Beth’s communication was exceptional. We will most likely be staying again!
Clean, very comfortable home with lots to do for adults and kids: TV, videos, games, puzzles, books and some stocked items to help, if visitors have forgotten some condiments. We appreciated the first aid supplies. The area was peaceful and quiet. It was not far from a boat put in.
My pup and I had a lovely long weekend at Bear Creek cabin. We spent most of our time on the front covered deck (I super enjoyed watching a rainstorm roll in!) but also took some walks around the neighborhood; my pup loved all the smells! Some things about the cabin I particularly appreciated: I work remotely and the Wifi was excellent, the tv had the Peacock app so I was able to watch the football match I was hoping to watch, and I forgot shower soap but there was body wash in the shower. I’m also a solo female traveler and felt totally safe while at the cabin.

Charming, secluded cabin, conveniently located just off highway 28. Everything was clean and comfortable. Absolutely no complaints about the home.
My only non-5-star thought concerns the somewhat rustic gravel road that connects Lower Tuskegee Rd to the nicely paved approach and driveway. It's not a big deal for me personally. I just wasn't expecting it. If you're staying here with a high performance, low ground clearance kind of vehicle, just be aware that, albeit relatively short, a gravel road is involved.
I'm not gonna tell you how great this place is I wanna keep it a secret LOL!

About the host
Hosted by Beth Dorsey
I live in Saint Augustine Florida. I have 4 cats, a large poodle and three horses. I love to ride, practice yoga and SUP (stand up paddle) cook and entertain. I am so very fortunate to be able to enjoy the beach and the mountains. My husband and I fell in love with the area when I stayed a friends cabin 10 years ago. She is a realtor, owns multiple properties in several states and guided me into hosting. I Own two other cabins in the area and manage Bear creek for some close friends that also live in Saint Augustine. They are currently renovating another cabin in the development and we hope to have it available for guests soon!
Why they chose this property
The owners are motorcycle enthusiasts and loved the proximity of the development to some of the wonderful roads there are to explore in the area. The cabin puts you about 25 min from The Tail of the Dragon/Deals gap and the drive over from the cabin on Rt 28 is also fun and challenging. The neighborhood is peaceful and remote...but accessible on a motorcycle.
What makes this property unique
The cabin offers a large garage for vehicle storage- and the owners have paved part of the road and the entire driveway to make riding in and out easy. The cabin is all tongue and grove pine inside. There is a large yard and a large covered wrap porch with a gate -perfect for those travelling with pets. There is a nice short range mountain view from the deck that even opens up more during the fall and winter.
