Worst place I’ve ever stayed

First, I had to ask the host for access to the property an hour before check in time. I get there and the neighborhood is GHETTO. The house was dirty and the mattresses looked like they were found on the side of the road. Bedroom doors don’t lock. I felt VERY unsafe. I got locked out the first night because the key provided didn’t work for the handle, only the deadbolt, but I wasn’t told that. When I tried reaching out to the host they didn’t respond until the next morning so I had to find somewhere else to stay! On my second day there, I saw someone getting arrested while walking to my car. Turns out, it’s a high crime area. Avoid staying at this location at all costs!!

Terrible.

First off we walked in it smelled like old cat litter and piss. then There was poop in the basement. along with mold and trash. the bed in the bedroom was covered in stains and blood. the paper plates they had were reused. i tried contacting the property manager multiple times about these things and i never got a response back. this place definitely shouldn’t be on this app.

Deplorable neighborhood and shady owner

This neighborhood is “locally known” as UNSAFE. (I found this out later given we were in from out of town and local families from Dayton said they wouldn’t risk their lives let alone PAY to stay in this neighborhood.) Address originally provided was inaccurate. Homes had boards on windows, gates over the doors (likely to prevent crime) and looked like a scene right off CSI. The host would not answer my phone calls. The address I was originally provided with did not belong to the host and then the host finally contacted me from another phone number via text (NOT the number verified on VRBO) telling me to go to ANOTHER location to check in (within the same scary neighborhood.) I did not feel safe. I refused to go to an address provided via a questionable phone number and the host refused to offer me a refund. Beware! This owner/host will be hearing from my attorney.
