Very lovely home. We enjoyed celebrating thanksgiving and appreciated the full stocked kitchen. A few suggestions maybe provide a few more kitchen towels for cleaning and Kleenex in bathrooms.
There was more than enough room for our group of six! We found everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen, and the beautiful decor helped us relax in the evenings after a full day of skiing and boarding at China Lake. We were just a few minutes away from restaurants, markets, a gas station, and beautiful hiking trails. The people of Shaver Lake are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. The Refuge was just that, a lovely refuge in the snow-covered Sierras. We’ll return.

Everything was great. Still got snow which was great. Had a little trouble with hit water but I called number and was contacted right away and problem was resolved.
Wonderful Family Time in Beautiful Property and Area
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful property in the Shaver Lake area! There were 9 of us, ages 10 to 69. The home was beautiful, clean, and had a well-appointed kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, etc. The grill outside was clean and ready for our use. The bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable beds. When we weren’t sharing a meal or working on a jigsaw puzzle in the house, we were hiking or hanging out at the lake. Some went fishing, others paddle-boarding, and the rest of us hung out enjoying the beautiful, cool weather. Bottom line is that we would be happy to stay at this property again some day!

Holiday Retreat
We enjoyed our four nights at the condominium. It was clean and had almost every kitchen item we needed, including some items we forgot. The decor was homey and welcoming and we appreciated being able to bring our two small dogs without any fuss. We were also able to readily contact Stormy about last minute guest changes and a hot water issue, and she responded very quickly, even on a holiday. The one improvement I would make would clearer online descriptions of the property—we were looking for a cabin that wasn’t so close to others, and this was in a condo complex with a balcony view of major roadways. But, that reflects my last minute planning and lack of communication—if I’d been more specific, I’m sure Stormy would’ve been told me. In the end, it didn’t matter much because traffic was light and we found other things to do besides sit on the deck.
