For the price, we expected better. There were crumbs and stains on the trundle beds, mattresses very uncomfortable and the air conditioner did not cool the entire space at night when trying to sleep. Fans would have helped to move air around. We did enjoy kayaking and fishing on the lake and horseback riding nearby.
Clean and cozy, great deck and firepit, lovely view of the pond. A really cool place! Beautiful grounds. Antigo a super cute town, Swartzendruber Supper club is exceptional. We loved our weekend stay, thanks so much!
What an incredible weekend. We made a lifetime of memories!! My grandsons lost their minds when we pulled in and surprised them! If you are looking for the perfect, unique getaway, this is it!! The hosts were super!!
It was unique and an interesting piece of history. Views from the deck were fantastic. However, outside area around the plane could have been trimmed. Firepit was a mess and no desire to use it because it was in bad shape, not inviting. The dock was spongy and too small for two people to fish off of. Some of this may be due to recent rains. From looking at the pictures we thought the firepit and dock were closer to the plane. The bathroom floor was painted and peeling. Luckily we had shower shoes to use in the shower.
What a unique experience! Booked 2 nights for our anniversary. Husband is a history, aviation buff and he was like a little kid looking over all the pictures and memorabilia. The plane is well designed with plenty of room for 2 people. There was plenty of soap, pots, pans, dishes, linens and towels. The winding staircase was a challenge for hauling our stuff up but manageable. We did get a nasty storm the 1st night that blew out the power in our area but Kate was standing by for assistance and updates. The 2nd night we got to enjoy the beautiful view and deck. Glad we had our bug spray! I would highly recommend this little treasure.
