Quiet but convenient, classic yet entirely updated, this vintage alpine chalet provides the best of all worlds less than a mile from Rangeley Lake. Whether your interests lie in skiing, hunting, world-class fly fishing, or taking out the provided canoe, this is a wonderful home base for your outdoor excursions.

This hillside home sits one mile from the cute village of Rangeley and the town boat launch, with west-facing views of the lake, the surrounding mountains, and spectacular nightly sunsets. It's also mere minutes from the Evergreen Golf Club (two miles), Saddleback Ski Area & Bike Park (seven miles), Rangeley Lake State Park and Beach (eight miles), the Outdoor Heritage Museum (eight miles), and annual events such as Snowdeo and the Rangeley Lupine Festival. Maine's popular snowmobile trails system (ITS) is nearby, providing convenient access to thousands of miles of fun waiting to be explored. Sugarloaf is 29 miles away for more skiing adventures.

No matter how you spend your days, this comfortable, three-story home is a space you'll be excited to return to. Curl up with a good book in the lofty great room, play board games in the warmth of the woodstove, or head downstairs to stream movies, screen DVDs, or play air hockey in the game room. In the sparkling summer months, retreat to decks on both sides of the house and stargaze in the evenings beneath brilliant night skies full of stars.

Weekend getaway
The property was inviting, comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, private but close to eating, shopping, hiking, snowshoeing and skiing.

So cozy and accommodating
I rented the Tumblehome Cabin for a girl's weekend, and I am so very glad I did. There were 8 women who attended the weekend and there was plenty of room for all of us. The accommodations were clean and cozy. We had everything we needed, from firewood to cooking implements. The location was perfect, one minute from the local grocery store and 5 minutes from main street in Rangeley. We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and each other's company. Thank you for the beautiful stay! We'll be back!

Love Rangeley
My husband had family in Rangeley and has been going regularly since his was a boy. We have been going for years and love all the seasons. It was a nice treat to see all the improvements at the Saddleback ski area

Sunset
The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. The drive down headed towards town has a beautiful view of Rangely lake. But the most stunning view of all is watching the sun setting over Rangeley Lakes from either the porch are the living room of the cabin. Highly recommend Tumblehome Cabin.
