If it’s summer and you're in the mood for some sun-soaked bliss, Sunset boasts a shared dock where you can soak up the rays, read a book, or simply take in the breathtaking views that surround you. Cool off by taking a dip in the water directly from the dock or from the adjacent swimming beach. If you're planning to bring your boat along, we offer a mooring for convenient access to Rangeley Lake's pristine waters. If you’d like to reserve a mooring at no additional cost, just let us know prior to your arrival.

We had an incredibly wonderful stay….so beautiful and peaceful…cozy sweet cabin, great view from the porch.. highly recommend it …we drove from Ohio-made a trip through Québec, and down to Maine …fabulous memorable time ….

The Sunset Cabin

We picked this place for our 1 year anniversary and it was the perfect pick! We love everything about the cabin, it’s very cozy, very clean, great location real close to everything. It sits right on the banks of the lake, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Book it.

Beautiful location in an upscale cottage

The cottage has a small footprint, and is perfectly appointed. Kitchen, bedroom & bath are filled with designer-quality homegoods. But it’s the lake view! Whether you’re seated in front of the large picture window indoors or in the set of Adirondack chairs on the deck or the ones at the fire pit on the lawn, you will enjoy the quiet beauty of the water and the skies. We took advantage of the very-nearby scenic hikes for waterfalls, gorges, and 360 views. Joy describes them all in her welcome book on the table. Even as summer guests we decided to try out the sauna when one of the days dipped into the 50s. Remember to pack some warm clothes! We felt like we were in our own private world despite being a 5-min drive from restaurants and a grocery. Great visit.

We live in the beautiful state of Maine and have a special place in our hearts for Rangeley. Our goal is to show each and every guest hospitality, creating unforgettable experiences, and making sure they feel welcomed and valued. We have created Sunset Cabin to be a place of rest, adventure, and reconnection for couples and solo travelers. We understand the need for quality time and the chance to disconnect from our everyday life in order to reconnect with ourselves and each other.

Why they chose this property

Sunset Cabin is situated on a 3.5 acre piece of lakefront property that is shared with 6 cabins and overseen by an HOA that manages amenities, plowing, WiFi, and landscaping . Although located just off the main road (a very important detail in the winter), when on the property you feel far removed from the chaos of the world. The other cabins on this very peaceful property are owned by fantastic people who we call friends.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with Sunset Cabin from the first moment we saw it! What's not to love? It has an amazing lakefront location with a dock and swimming beach to play in the lake all summer, then direct snowmobile access to the lake and just minutes to Saddleback ski area in the winter. A cup of coffee on the front deck, listening to the loons, is our favorite morning location. The fire pit is a favorite evening location for our family and our guests alike.
