The cottage is very quaint. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Close to town. In a very nice community and located near waterfalls and hiking trails. Lovely town to shop and eat out. The host, Kirk, went above and beyond for us. Highly recommended. We will definitely return. Try edelweiss pastry shoppe.
My best friend and I had a great girls’ trip and stay at Kirk’s cottage. The location to main street, shops, and eateries was easy and short. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect setting! We had a great stay and couldn’t ask for more.
I brought my lovely wife up to Highlands NC to celebrate her birthday. She loved it!. The place was in a peaceful, beautiful wooded setting, super clean, roomy with a cozy feel and close to town
We enjoyed our three-night stay in Highlands. The location is just far enough out of town to be quiet and relaxing. The large living room windows offered beautiful sunset views, and the gas fireplace made it cozy. The home was clean overall, communication with the host was excellent, and we appreciated the keyless entry and having a washer/dryer. It was also thoughtful to have a Keurig ready when we arrived.A few things to note: this home seems designed for taller guests. The beds are quite high, and closet rods and the stacked washer/dryer controls were difficult to reach. One shower had a built-in seat and grab bar, which was helpful, though a handheld showerhead would be a nice addition.Only one bedroom had seating, so a chair or bench in the other would help while dressing. There’s no desk, and the dining chairs are low, making laptop use less comfortable. The unit is part of a duplex, but we heard no noise from neighbors. The only cleanliness issue was the freezer, which needed attention.Overall, a quiet, comfortable stay—especially for taller guests.
The house was everything you see on the website
Very warm and inviting. Very very clean.
I can’t say enough good things about Kirk. He helped me with booking, got in touch with me in the process of getting me the information on how to enter the home once we arrived.
