This is just an ideal villa for a family vacation. Apart from the fact that it is beautifully built and decorated - the location is just perfect. Villa is located in a calm residential neighborhood just above the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Nestled in the very heart of the city but far enough from city noise and crowd. It's an ideal choice for a family or a group who is seeking a relaxing summer holiday. You will never have to use your car as you can take a very short walk to the Old Town center and a bus stop to explore other Dubrovnik areas is just few steps away. 100 sqm of modern penthouse consists of comfortable accommodation with 3 double bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, a dining room and living room that can comfortably accommodate total of 6 guests (additional guests upon request). The villa is fully air-conditioned and there is WiFi internet. So all together - just perfect.


In front of the villa is a lounge pool terrace and its sundeck dominate the villa’s outdoors offering stunning views of entire eastern side of the city with the Old Town and Lokrum island as a central attraction and open sea in distance. It will certainly be a place you will spend a lots of your holidays should you choose to stay here! Laying on a sun lounge area or swimming and enjoying – you can not fail to relax here... Pool is also equipped with the jacuzzi area.
Walking distance to the Old Town and the beach is less than 15 minutes. To walk back it takes longer because of the stairs. But, as an alternative, guests can use a taxi or a bus (number 3) that stops just above the house. Other options are to use a car or a scooter as the house has a parking place lot.

From here on, you can undertake exploration trips along this fascinating region and visit numerous small towns and villages across Peljesac peninsula, Dubrovacko Primorje, Cavtat, and of course, the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Swimming, snorkeling, sea kayaking, fishing, boat excursions...all at your disposal in the vicinity of the villa.

Amazing Location

We had the most amazing time it is a beautiful location. Rina is the perfect host the villa has everything you need, The food is great with lots of choice and people are so friendly and after a long day looking at the amazing sites you cant beat a relaxing afternoon by the pool.

The location is perfect for visiting Dubrovnik Old Down as it’s just a walk into the main centre with a walk back involving many steps which helped burn a few calories!!

Outstanding Villa

Villa Skance is exceptional. It is one of the best ever vacation rentals we have stayed in for our family of 5. It is spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bedrooms and living areas with excellent outdoor areas including a lovely balcony with breath taking views of old town. We had a fantastic time in Dubrovnik and Rina’s house was perfect. One of our favourite things was the gorgeous views and the outside space. Inside, the property was immaculate and we had everything we needed. We appreciated the snacks and drinks left for us on our arrival. That was a nice touch. Please bear in mind that the spiral staircase inside the house may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. Throughout our stay, our communication with Rina was great, she always got back to us straight away and sorted any queries we had. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend to anyone.

Villa Skance was the perfect place for our vacation to Croatia. Close proximity to many major attractions, but far enough away to avoid traffic and large crowds. Rina was an excellent host and provided us with everything we needed to have a great stay. Her recommendations for food and attractions really helped us get the full, non touristy experience. If I return to Croatia in the future, I’m not looking at anywhere else to stay, because it doesn’t get better than Villa Skance.

Brilliant stay

We had a wonderful two week holiday staying in Rina's villa. Villa is really well equiped and more spacious that we thought. Location was excellent just a short(ish) walk into the old town - we often walked down and got an Uber back. Rina was the most amazing and thoughtful host arranging trips for us, giving restaurant advice - it felt like having a concierge service. I'd recommend Villa Skance to anyone wanting a short or long trip to Dubrovnik. Passing on Rina's great advice, our favourite restaurants were Arsenal and Proto and the day long boat trip around the three islands was amazing

What can I say! What a fantastic villa. Modern and clean and so well positioned for walking into the Old Town. The walk takes 12-15 mins. Only walked back the once which took slightly longer but I recommend booking an Uber for 6-10. The swimming pool is heated, which was great. Rina, the host, was really nice and sorted our airport transfers and recommended a company for day trips etc. We went to Mostar and Kravice Waterfalls in Bosnia which was amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning to this villa.

Perfect base to explore an amazing city!

This is a beautiful home, very clean and everything you need. Lovely views from the terrace and balcony and a 10 minute walk to the Pile gate. Uber is around £8 to get back up the hill but can walk it in 20 minutes of you take it easy. The path to walk up to the viewpoint is right behind the property, definately worth a visit. Rina could not have been a better host. Great communication and so helpful - thank you for an amazing stay.

What a beautiful place to stay. Great apartment which is very spacious with lovely outside area. Renee is outstanding as a property manager with excellent communication, advice and guidance. Great location to walk into Dubrovnik old town with a wide variety of lovely restaurants. Yes there are steps down but Uber back (8-10 euros) helps! Book and you won’t regret it. If I had to state one negative it is the busy road next to the apartment but you can’t hear traffic in the apartment and you are staying in a busy town x

Perfect apartment for a family holiday

Villa Skance is the perfect apartment for a family trip to Dubrovnik. We stayed a week, and spent our mornings in the Old Town, and our afternoons by the pool. It is about 10 or 12 mins walk down steps to the Old Town, and we usually got a taxi back to save our legs. Our daughters absolutely loved the pool, which helped us all cool down in the late afternoon after a day’s activities. They also loved the turtles (or tortoises?) that live in the garden! The apartment has everything you need, with comfortable beds, and supermarkets are very close nearby. Rina is a lovely host and very helpful when you need her (but also does not intrude at all if you don’t!). Rina kindly organised a driver to pick us in from, drop us off at, the airport which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We had a great time and highly recommend Villa Skance!

Fantastic Villa in Dubrovnic

I would like to start by mentioning that Rena the owner of the property was from booking to staying and leaving a fantastic and very helpful person. There was 6 of us in total staying and the property was immaculate with a fantastic pool and all the mod cons you would expect. It was a 10 minute walk into the very busy walled city and we were all glad to not be really close to the hussle bussle and noise but just outside it with great transport links to the city to eat or the supermarkets to get supplies. There is plenty of space indoors and out and would make a great destination for any group. We as a group would like to thank Rena for all her help and would definitely recommend this property to anyone on this site looking and any friends or family who want to visit the amazing city of Dubrovnic!!

A fantastic place!

Rina’s place is really lovely, as is Rina. She was so helpful with any information we needed and is so incredibly friendly. The apartment is well placed for getting in and out of Dubrovnik Old Town, it took about 15-20 mins to walk down, please be prepared for lots of stairs and hills! Mostly we walked down and got an Uber back up. We had such a fabulous week exploring Dubrovnik and the surrounding area, highly recommend going to the island of Lokrum a ferry runs every 30 mins, take a towel and some swimmers as there is a beautiful pool called the Dead Sea. Another place we found on the last day was Cavtat which is really pretty and well worth a visit. All in all as our first visit to Croatia we had a fabulous experience.

Amazing villa

A beautiful spotless villa in a quiet part of Dubrovnik with amazing views. A lovely sun trap pool area. Cannot fault the property, has everything you could possibly need. There were 6 adults & a very young baby in our party but plenty of room for us all. Yes, there are hundreds of steps to get to the old town, but they were easier than it sounds! And ubers were plentiful & drivers very pleasant.And i have to mention our host Rina who has to be the nicest & most helpful person i have ever come across. She sorted airport transfers (even arranging a small baby seat - hard to get in taxi's) which were so hassle free, gave us a hot pastry dish when we arrived, informed us of local shops & even let us into her house to use her steamer for our clothes for my son's wedding day. I cannot thank her enough. Highly recommend this amazing villa

Impeccable property and amazing host, highly recommend

It was our first visit to Dubrovnik as a family, six of with our adult sons and their friends. This property exceeded every expectation, as did Rina our host. Beautifully appointed with three double bedrooms and a single. Well maintained and the pool area provided a view of the old city like no other. There are many stairs down and back up to old town, but consider it exercise for all the amazing Croatian food you’ll enjoy. There is even a wonderful family of turtles in the garden to greet you each morning. We would highly recommend this property as spacious and all you’ll need during your visit. Only caveat would be to prepare for the spiral architectural stairs to the upstairs bedrooms, fine for most, but if you have mobility issues keep it in mind. We can’t wait to visit Rina and her amazing home at some point in the near future. Hvala vam, Rina.

Perfect family house!

We loved staying at the Skance villa! The owner, Rina, was the perfect host - very accomodating and helpful! The house is gorgeous and modern, AC in 3 out of 4 bedrooms but the one without is connected to the kitchen which has AC so was cool enough. The view is absolutely amazing and the fact that the road is close by is not a big issue. The pool area was amazing, the kids didn’t want to leave! Visiting the old town of Dubrovnik means walking in a lot of stairs, but we found out that if we took an Uber from the Pile gate it only took about 5 min to get back to the house. Bolt took longer and used a different way so more expensive. For the kids and grandmother this was perfect, for us who love to walk a climb up the stairs only took about 20 min from the Pile gate. We are more than happy to go back in the future!

A few steps away from history

To summarize: a great property, which matches the description on the App. Three full sized double bedrooms, one with a lovely balcony/terrace. An oversized bathroom too on the top floor. It’s a great modern well equipped place to stay. Spiral staircase would be tricky for the (very) elderly but never a drama when we were there. Donwnstairs has a great living space and a good kitchen. We cooked there a couple of nights but it’s also easy to walk into the old town for dinner. It’s very convenient for town, and the walk back up the hill is very manageable. The pool was a great retreat from the crowded old town streets. We would have a breakfast at the villa, walk down to town for coffee, sightseeing then lunch. We would head back up to the villa in the afternoon to chill by the pool and read, then head back to town for the evening. All very good. And Rina is a spectacular host.

Perfect villa for your vacation!

We loved staying in Rina's home! The villa was perfect for our group and the pool was great to have during our hot August trip. We walked down the stairs many times a day and would taxi back up for less than $10 USD. Rina was lovely and kind--we hope to come back soon!
