We had a great time in Savannah. This home is located in the middle between historic Savannah and Tybee Island so it was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and using the crab traps. Hosts were very inviting and we had plenty of room for our dogs to run. Home has plenty of privacy on the 1.5 acres.

So glad you enjoyed your visit. The weather was perfect for spending time on the dock. We have a good number of 4 legged visitors but your Boston Terriers were the first. Shotsie ran over this evening looking for them. Hope your trip home was pleasant.
Bill and Emma (and Shotsie) greeted us with such hospitality. Perfect location to explore the Savannah area. Beautiful and relaxing setting with water access. Enjoyed the fire pit and the view. Bill even let us use one of his crab pots. Maybe next time we’ll catch some!

We had an amazing stay with William and Emma and their dog Shotgun. The house is beautiful and well kept and is convenient for Savannah. We tried to fish but it was too cold but we did see some Dolphins! Overall I would definitely recommend.

We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, The views of coastal waters, marshes and it"s wildlife and estuaries are special to the cottage. Thanks for your review of your stay.
Mr Bill was an excellent host! Always available by phone and very accommodating! Will definitely be staying again! Great fishing from the dock and was able to bring my 24' boat for docking. Richardson Creek is large and deep enough to access from the major waterways in the area, also loaded with reds and trout if you fish from the property's dock.

Eric So glad you enjoyed the cottage, Very sorry the weather was not the best for your offshore fishing plans. You made the best of it at the dock. You braved the wind and caught some fish. Not surprised you caught fish at the dock it has been productive. The creek is deep and fall and winter is usually good. Let me know when you wish to come back short notice is good to get better weather forecast. Thanks for leaving the cottage in fine shape. Welcome back anytime.
Property was clean with all necessities.Owner next door and very responsive.Highly recommend this location.

So happy you enjoyed your stay, and the sites in downtown Savannah. We hope you can come back and find time to get to the beach and use the dock and enjoy the waterfront.
We had the best time here! The owners are so kind and very friendly. Our daughter and dog loved the dock. The views are great, neighborhood is safe, and the house is so beautiful. Loved reading all the guests comments in the guest book on things to do in the area. Highly recommend this VRBO and we will hopefully return soon! Thank you

Great house on deep water and beautiful river and marsh views. Minutes from downtown or the beach. A much better alternative than staying in town. We will certainly stay here again!

We enjoyed having Richard and his family at the cottage. "Great Guests" They were neat quiet and arrived ready for a holiday river vacation.. After check in they unloaded their boat and we didnt see much of them. I hope they enjoyed boating , and caught some fish. Welcome back anytime. Thanks
The house was outstanding! Bill and Emma are great hosts. We unfortunately had a family issue and had to cut our trip short, but we will be back with the boat. The location is perfect, it is so peaceful and the house has plenty of space for all of us. Spending time on the dock is a very peaceful place to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Exactly what we were looking for over the 4th. Amazed at how well this older home is cared for.

So happy your family enjoyed the cottage and the dock. You had great weather to be on the dock and to use your Kayaks. We get much pleasure when people enjoy themselves on the water. You all were wonderful guests Welcome back anytime.
The house and hosts were amazing. The hosts made check in a breeze and if we needed anything they were there immediately to help. Their local knowledge was great insight in where to go while we were on our trip. We will be back.

Thanks for the great review and for taking such fine care of the cottage. Your fishing group is welcome back anytime.
I rented the house so my husband could have a night away from all of his work as a pastor and spend some time with his fraternity brothers. It was absolutely perfect. The property, the view, the landscaping was all beautiful (he sent me pictures). He’s now trying to decide when he wants to go back!

That is precisely what they guys did. Had a good time relaxing catching up but for your thoughtfulness they would not have had the time together. So happy they liked the cottage
The owners Bill, Emma, and shotgun was very nice. Since we was right next door wish we would of chatted a bit more. Saw the dolphins go by each morning. Saw a leg less lizard in drive way. So much wild life. My husband fished off the dock and got a few fish. The property was close to everything. We didnt stay at property much as we did boat tours, going out to eat, and site seeing in our short stay. Thanks for having us.

You all were delightful guests we are so happy that you enjoyed your selves on the dock and got to go on a charter boat, get to Dauskie and eat at some of the great local restaurants. You got a real coastal experience in a short time. Thanks and welcome back
This house was perfect for our family of 5 and our two dogs, plus an extra guest for a night. Great location between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island so we could enjoy both almost everyday. There is a dock on the property and a boat ramp not too far away so my husband and son could spend every morning (and some afternoons or evenings) on the water. The owners live next door, greeted us when we arrived and were always available to help with whatever we needed. It was a great week!

Jessica and John came with their three children, prepared to enjoy Savannah and the coastal ,waters. They trailed their boat all the way from Indiana got it launched and were ready to explore the coastal rivers and estuaries. They caught fish, crabs, cast for shrimp and spent time on the dock. When they were not fishing and enjoying the water they were visiting Tybee Island, Downtown Savannah or seeing local attractions It was so nice to see the family enjoy the cottage the dock, and the coastal waters. I think their dogs had a good time as well. Spectacular guests. Welcome back anytime
About the host
Hosted by Bill
As a long time, and current resident of this coastal neighborhood I have fished the waters inshore and offshore for over 40 yrs. Savannah history and culture, captured me as a young man . I enjoy all Savannah offers and get great pleasure seeing people enjoy the experience. The cottage built in 1941, is among the 1st in this neighborhood which was originally a fishing camp community. This is a Vacation property for people who enjoy fishing, the sights, sounds, history and wildlife activity. of the coast.
Why they chose this property
Wake up each morning to the spectacular river and marsh. Watching boats go by, fisherman heading out, or coming back. People fishing from their docks, crabbing, or casting for shrimp. The property is just minutes from Historic Savannah, National Parks Tybee Island's ocean beach. Historic sites, fine golf courses, tennis, and many other sites of interest.
What makes this property unique
This is a 1 1/2 acre private, wooded property, yet close to restaurants, shopping, downtown Historic Savannah and ocean beaches . Quiet and very little traffic.. I call it " COUNTRY IN THE CITY"
