Located at the end of a quiet road less than 10 minutes from the center of historic, picturesque Chester and just 12 minutes to Magic and 30 minutes or less to Okemo, Bromley, and Stratton Mountains. Enjoy the gourmet kitchen, explore the 11 acres in any season, or use it as a home base for hiking, skiing, leaf-peeping, maple-syrup season, or family fun. Dogs (max of 2) are welcome!

This trip to Vermont was to attend a friends wedding. The house was a perfect home base for this multi-day event. It was clean, spacious and surrounded with beautiful fall foliage. We can’t wait to return in the winter.

Perfect Winter Getaway

We absolutely loved everything about Meadow’s End Farm. It was so charming and peaceful, and the house was not only beautiful, it had everything we needed- proximity to skiing and town, lots of land for our dogs to run, and a real kitchen where we could make dinner after long days outdoors. Melanie was extremely responsive and provided a lot of helpful information about the area. We can’t wait to come back.

We live in a city and have been coming to VT every summer for vacation for 20 years to "get away." We finally had the opportunity in 2022 to purchase our dream home, which we want to share with you!

Why they chose this property

I worked in the area several years ago and always loved it. Chester in particular is a picture-perfect VT town with great shops and restaurants, central to four ski areas. Chester, voted one of the "most charming towns in Vermont," was the location for a Hallmark Christmas movie, so you know it's charming!

What makes this property unique

The home has a very rich history in the town of Chester, dating back to 1834. It's been beautifully maintained and renovated over the years, making it a cozy yet spacious home. The home is historic and therefore imperfect! The location, which is quiet and among the meadows, is instantly relaxing and beautiful. While it feels remote once you arrive, you are only 10 minutes (or less!) from town and easily accessible from Interstate 91 and Route 7N.

There are 11 acres to explore, hike, snowshoe, sled, cross-countryside ski or snow-mobile. The foliage is spectacular, and the location is tranquil and relaxing. Enjoy smores by the outdoor firepit, read a book in the hammock under the trees, or have a glass of wine by the fireplace on the screened-in porch. It's ready made for families and friends, vacations, weekend getaways, skiing vacations or leaf-peepers.
