Beach home with boardwalk thru dunes directly to the water. The home's kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking utensils as if you were right at home. The Master bedroom has a sunroom with a daybed for additional guests.. Second and Third bedroom has queen beds. 2 bathrooms.Large screen porch underneath with outdoor dining and park style charcoal grill. Walking distance to all island restaurants, grocery stores, shops and the St. George Island Lighthouse.

CDC sanitation guidelines are in effect to ensure that your family is safe from the spread of COVID-19. Also, the home is vacant for a minimum of 7 days prior to your arrival, this will ensure a thorough sanitation has been down to the home.

Pretty much perfect for us. A great setup for dog owners, with gates on all sides of the deck including at the end of the boardwalk which our dogs loved running up and down. New composite boards on deck were very nice for all to walk on. Spacious great room with comfortable sectional sofa. Location is so close to the center of the island and the bridge, yet was still not crowded. The property manager was very responsive to all questions and proactively let us know that the house was cleaned and ready early for us to come down early if we chose. We definitely would stay here again.

Great location. Almost perfect
I loved this location. You directly are on the beach - you can the ocean from the couch in the living room! The porch is amazing too. In addition - the house is close to shops, restaurants, and the ice cream shop. I recommend renting a bike if you stay here. You can get to anywhere on the island on a bike from this house. I say ALMOST perfect bc there are some issues. None of the interior doors are solid. They are all slotted - so noise travels throughout the house. There is no vent in the master bathroom. Really could use a 3rd bathroom if you have 8 people. Also - 2 of the beds are in the sunroom attached to the master. We had 2 kids in our bedroom all week. Not ideal… also NONE of the interior doors have locks. Not treat for privacy with kids who haven’t master the art of knocking. All in all - great view, great location but really could use some solid interior doors that lock!!

Fantastic home
This was our second time staying at this home and we love it. It is clean, comfortable and convenient, and fits our needs perfectly. The hosts are great to work with and quick to respond to any questions or needs. The deck has been replaced since our last stay and it is fantastic. We can’t say enough good things about this home….and we can’t wait to return!

Apalachicola native went into the military at age 18, then a career in the corporate world, now retired to the good life on the island. I live on St. George Island and run the Maritime Museum in Apalachicola.

Why they chose this property

The great thing about this home is the proximity to the center of the island. The beach, Café Blue Parrot, is a short stroll down the beach from the house. All other restaurants, grocery stores, curio stores, gift shops and equipment rentals are within just a few blocks. The lighthouse and park are visible from the yard and only three blocks away.

What makes this property unique

This home is at the midway point on the bike path that runs the entire length of the island. It is a two-hour round-trip ride in either direction. It is a short ride to the stores for grocery shopping or dinner There are other great bicycle rides along the back roads of Pine Street and other bay roads that offer great adventures exploring the older parts of the island. It is also very close to the bridge where the old bridge fishing pier is great for riding or wetting the hook.
The palm studded lot, outdoor hammock and extra-large yard make this a spacious and comfortable location with a good deal of privacy. The screen porch under the dock with the nearby grill is a shady and cool respite for dining with an eight-seating table and lounge chairs with ferns and other greenery.
