The property was clean and well stocked with everything you might expect in the kitchen and bathroom. Parking is convenient and everything worked well. The location is great for visiting Lake Almanor (5 minute drive) or Lassen Volcanic National Park (35 minute drive). Check-in was fast and easy. The size of the property might be a bit tight for six people but is ideal for two to four people.

We love it here and this was our second stay. I’m going to book next year. Tanya is super helpful. The Neighbir’s across the street are friendly and everything is 5 minutes away! There’s really good mechanic, Dave, over at plumes tires who got us out of a pickle when our alternator went out.

This is a tiny home that met our family needs for a short stop in the area. It was right in the middle of Chester, making everything accessible. The grocery store was within walking distance. The bed in the main room was comfortable but the beds in the loft above it were very noisy. The couch in the living room was very comfortable. We tried to watch TV but the air-conditioner was too noisy making it difficult to hear it. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. This house was clean and had enough towels and blankets.

Convenient location within town, walking distance to market and restaurant. Great little home with all necessary appliances for a short term stay. Great bath furnishings and comfortable bedding. Love the reclining chairs after a long day of hiking! One suggestion, replace frying pans as current ones are worn. Would return again if back in the area.

This was above and beyond my expectations! We were amazed at how airy and spacious it is and it was downright charming. The knotty pine was a sweet touch, and having a full sized refrigerator and a couch with reclining plus connections for our devices AND drink holders - priceless! Tanya was very helpful and we look forward to returning!

Fishing trip to Lake Almanor

The accommodations were perfect. VaLinda Abernathy was an excellent host who went way above the call of duty. The fishing wasn't very good but that wasn't her fault. Hope to use the cabin again.

Very functional little house.

Every year my sister and I visit the Lassen area to hunt mushrooms. This year did not disappoint. The kitchen is small and does not have an oven but we managed to create some excellent soup and Morel Stroganoff. We have stayed in a number of BnB's and would definitely return next year.

New and getting there

The property is a new prefab tiny home cabin, perfect for a family. They have yet to put up house numbers or have an instruction book in the cabin, so we had a learning curve figuring everything out. It was new and immaculate, so overall we we very pleased.

Chester/Lassen NP

Sadly, our trip was disrupted by the fires with heavy smoke in the area and Lassen NP closed on the day of our arrival, which was why we came to the area. So we had to leave next morning due to smoke and poor air quality and didn't get to check out the town or area at all. Tanya, the property manager, was responsive and helpful in facilitating communication with the owner, Nicholas.

Tiny home

I enjoyed my stay at this tiny house. It was clean and Tanya checked in to see if we needed anything during our stay, she was wonderful.Thankful home had an air conditioner,as I traveled during a hot spell.Due to an inaccuracy of descriptions, listed with a jacuzzi,Owner is refunding $250.,and I appreciate that,as I was looking forward to the jacuzzi for my back when I booked.Cute, clean and close to Main Street and market. Thanks again Tanya for everything 😀

Comfortable

We stayed to hunt in the area. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house but it was very clean and comfortable. Two things could have been better. The TV should be downstairs and the toilet paper dispenser is hard to get too.

Thank you for staying and for the feedback. We are going to be moving the TV downstairs and working on finding a better TP holder location as you suggested.

Lake Almanor and Lassen

We planned to stay in this property but arrived to find it not ready. The property manager came by quickly to clean it but we ended up moving over to a different property owned by the same person. That one had a few minor issues as it wasn’t set up for use completely just yet. The manager was very apologetic and did everything to get things set up, but it was still frustrating. The property listed here seemed to match the listing and looked comfortable, even for up to 6 people in a tiny home.Overall, access to Almanor and Lassen was great, grocery store is a block away (the best grocery store in a 100 mile radius), and the property we moved to was clean. We had a great time, sans the initial frustration and move to a different house.
