Two equipment operators needing quiet and relaxation after a long day of work. Place was immaculate, exactly as advertised, and wonderful communication with property manager. Our 2-man crew would happily return for future work in the area. Pristine condition.
We stayed at this great property in Chester over the July 4th weekend. Dianne manages the property, was proactive in her communication with us and a great host overall.
The house itself is conveniently located, was clean and well-appointed. Chester is nestled in the mountains, boasts of the picturesque Almanor lake and is also close to Lassen Volcanic National Park making it an ideal location. People were nice and friendly as well.
Overall great experience!
Very pleasant stay in the home in Chester. Small but equipped with everything the two of us needed. Dianne (manager) was very proactive and focused on ensuring our stay was positive. She and husband Ron promptly addressed a drain issue as we were arriving, and Dianne was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. As long-time residents of Chester, it’s clear that Dianne and Ron are proud of the town they call home. The damage from the 2021 Dixie Fire has certainly impacted Lassen Park and the surrounding area, but Dianne and her neighbors are working hard to recover. Lake Almanor is a beautiful lake, and we took time to boat and enjoy one of the swimming beaches
Traveled to the area for the 4th of July weekend. It was busy in all of the lake communities but not “Tahoe busy”. The house decor was very Patriotic. Only the bedrooms have window AC units making the living room/kitchen area less enjoyable with the heatwave California was experiencing. Ceilings fans and extra box fans were appreciated and used. We had a few instances of not enough hot water (there were 5 of us showering in pretty close secession). Communication with the property manager was excellent. Having never been to Chester I assumed there’d be a way to walk to & see Lake Almanor but there isn’t. Lots of great restaurants to try and shops to explore.
