Downtown open space home with a European courtyard garden
It feels homey and comfortable. My home is for those who desire comfort and quality living. It is equipped with all the little things that make traveling convenient. You have two off street parking spots. All paper products and detergents are supplied. This is an open spaced home with a cook's kitchen. All you need is your food. Equipment for cooking and entertaining are provided. The beds are comfortable with a variety of pillow styles, soft sheets and down comforters. The quaint patio is equipped for relaxing and dining. While walking to the historic landmarks downtown you will pass historic homes, charming gardens, piazzas and the magnificently beautiful College of Charleston campus.
The home is in a safe neighborhood near MUSC (medical university) and The College of Charleston. It is out of the congestion of the tourist area but close enough to walk to restaurants and historical sites and SEWE events Bring your bicycles, walking shoes and leave your car parked. I can provide recommendations for our many delicious restaurants, just ask. And yes I love pets but we need to discuss this first.

Great place and location.
Robin was an awesome host and got my highest stars...the courtyard in the back was a perfect spot to relax with a bottle of wine between every adventure around the city and the neighborhood was so quiet yet just a quick walk from all the action.
Location is perfect. The home is very comfortable and Robin is very easy to work with and the Needtobreath concert was awesome
We will definitely be back
Warm, inviting and quiet property just a short Uber ride from the action of downtown Charleston. House was comfortable and well-appointed. We really enjoyed our stay.

Played a major role in an amazing weekend
What a wonderful home in a great location. We had an amazing weekend for our niece's wedding and the home was perfect.
Robin's home was absolutely perfect for us and exactly as described. It's a nice-sized townhome right downtown in walking distance to everything. Robin is a great hostess and her home is very comfortable with everything we needed.

Relaxing and wonderful!!
Beautiful and tranquil! Loved the pottery, paintings, and furnishings inside and the outdoor patio is fabulous. So nice to relax and have a glass of wine after sightseeing and shopping! Nice walking distance from attractions. Owner is super helpful and responds quickly to any questions. Highly recommend!
We attended our daughter's graduation at CofC and couldn't be happier with this VRBO find. The location was perfect. We enjoyed our daily walks into the heart of Charleston as well as walks along the water. The home was comfy and felt like you were staying with family. Cute backyard patio to drink your morning coffee as well. Our host was kind and returned messages promptly. We would definitely rent again!

Made our vacation a Dream come true!!
My husband and I love Charleston and decided to return with my parents so they could experience one of our favorite cities! We hadn't ever before stayed near Downtown Charleston and let me just tell you, this place made our vacation a dream come true! The home was so cozy to come back to after our activities and was so easy to get to downtown from here. We would love to stay here again, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about our host and her beautiful home!
We enjoyed her lovely home in this quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we could possibly need for cooking and visiting our children over Easter weekend. Her patio is like a secret garden and the paintings displayed thru the home are so beautiful. We would love to rent the home again!
My mom and I stayed here and had a great visit in Charleston. The location is not far from everything but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The house was very comfortable and felt very homey, like we were at a family member's house. Great wifi and TV options, comfortable beds and good pillows (surprised at how many places have crappy pillows!), all amenities you might need as well. And, bonus the owner is an artist so the place is filled with beautiful artwork! I would def stay here again.
We came to Charleston for vacation and enjoyed our stay at Robin's home. Her home was as pictured on VRBO. We had no issues during our stay. The patio was very enjoyable for morning coffee before we walked to town. Robin was available to answer any questions we had even before wee arrived. We would stay here again!
The outdoor garden patio which spanned three rooms with wide glass patio doors was a wonderful place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring Charleston. It was cool and quiet in a leafy suburb called Harleston Vlllage. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Plus if you love her art, (the place is full of it), you can buy it!
The home was great and location was wonderful for walking in the
city. We left our car and did not use until leaving. We had everything
we needed and the back patio was very nice for evenings. Highly
recommend. Owner was the best in communication and providing
all the comforts of home.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. We stayed 5 nights for our first visit to Charleston. The location was terrific. The off-street parking was convenient and we were close to all activities. The house was extremely comfortable and roomy. The patio area is lovely (though you will need bug spray to enjoy it). Robin is a wonderful host. She made sure we had everything we needed and was always ready to answer any questions. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this home to others.
Robin's home is warm, lovely and well equipped. We hosted a celebratory dinner for our daughter and some friends who are seniors at College of Charleston and it was the perfect place to do so. The kitchen is a "real" kitchen and the living/dining areas are wonderful gathering spaces. The patio is lovely, unfortunately, it was a little too chilly for us to make good use of it. Staying here is like visiting a favorite friend's home and Robin went out of her way to ensure we would have a wonderful weekend. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home, clean, well furnished, convenient to downtown Charleston and James island
The house proved to be a very comfortable home away from home, in a quiet neighborhood that invites exploration. It's equipped with just about everything I can imagine needing. Robin is a delight to work with - there when you need her and unobtrusive when you don't. Her VRBO manual at the house is bursting with useful information, from how to operate the coffee-maker and connect to wi-fi to favorite local sights, restaurants, and bike taxi companies. It was a pleasure staying there; I recommend it highly.
We had a wonderful stay in this rental. Robin's home is charming, convenient and full of thoughtful details. It is within walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We loved drinking coffee on the patio in the mornings and enjoying happy hour each afternoon. Most importantly, Robin is amazing. It was an important weekend for us so I asked about a billion questions and Robin answered each one with grace and detail. We are so lucky to have found this place and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

We truly loved this beautiful Charleston home!
We stayed in this beautiful Charleston home and can't say enough good things about it. The home is absolutely beautiful and in a great location close to downtown. The beautiful private patio, behind the home, is a great place to have your morning coffee or sip wine in the evenings . We did a little of both . The owner, Robin, had everything ready for us and the home was equipped with everything we needed . As an added bonus , the owner is an artist and the home is filled with her paintings and photography. If you plan on visiting Charleston, I would definitely recommend this home! I would also recommend the Palmetto Carriage Tour and a visit to the Angel Oak on St. John's Island . They Bethany Cemetery was beautiful as well . There are so many things to see in this house is close to all of them .

About the host
Hosted by Robin Joseph
I juggle a few jobs: I am a psychotherapist in private practice and an artist: photographer and oil painter. Many pieces of my art are displayed in my home. They are available for purchase with a VRBO discount!!.
Why they chose this property
I love city life and all its conveniences! This great location in downtown historic Charleston is walking distance to shopping, dining and historical sites but in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. My neighbors are lawyers, professors, doctors and other professionals. Two off street parking places gives you one less thing to worry about. I am a traveler too so I understand your needs. You have me to share all my secret places with you. I am a foodie and know what is happening in my fabulous city!!!
What makes this property unique
Living downtown allows easy access to various neighborhoods and areas of Charleston. You are 20 minutes away from 3 beaches! ( but depends on traffic). One of the benefits of vacationing in a home is that you don't have to eat out every meal. The house and patio gives you space to relax and stretch out instead of being in a single hotel room. A basket of herbal teas is there for your enjoyment. Supplied is a box of basic food preparation items so you dont have to buy them when all you need is a little. (salt, pepper, sugar, baggies, coffee filters, tin foil, all detergents, toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, dish sponge)
