About this property
Spacious West End Loft in Charming Family Home
We are pleased to offer our two-bedroom, sun-filled suite located on the third floor of our home. The elegantly designed space features two bedrooms that share a beautifully appointed bathroom and a spacious living room. While the staircase leading up to the suite is narrow and steep, we assure you that the climb is well worth it (but you may want to pack light :)). Nestled in the heart of the residential West End, we are still walkable to many restaurants and shops in Portland. *Street Parking*
The suite consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a living room. Weekend parking is readily available on our street and weekday parking is restricted to two hours only from 9am-5pm. Unrestricted weekday parking is a 6 minute walk away. All street parking in our neighborhood is free (no meters).
The living room, located at the front of the house, is a large and inviting space that includes a couch, reading chair, and a small dining table. Though the living room does not include a kitchen, we have provided a coffee machine, microwave, and mini fridge for your convenience.
The A-frame bedroom boasts a king-sized bed and a comfortable seating area that captures the morning light. Another bedroom (queen sized bed) is located across the hall from the bathroom, offering guests a cozy retreat with plenty of sunshine to brighten their day.
Finally, the newly renovated bathroom features marble tiling, a spacious shower, and a large sink that can double as a practical space to rinse dishes or fill water bottles.
We are confident that our suite will provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay while you visit our little city in Maine.
We would like to inform our guests that while the suite has a private main entrance, the bottom of the open staircase leading to the third floor is also used by our family to access our laundry and family room located in the basement (back stairway is open to attic suite). Please note that these areas are not accessible to our guests. As a young family, there may be times when our guests hear us going about our daily activities, including laughter and occasional sibling conflicts. However, we will make every effort to ensure that our guests' privacy and comfort are respected during their stay.
We kindly ask that our guests also respect the peacefulness of our home and neighborhood and refrain from any disruptive behavior during their stay. We have a zero-tolerance policy for disorderly conduct, and any guests found to be causing disturbances will be asked to vacate the premises.
Lastly, the staircase leading to the suite is steep and cannot be blocked off, which may present a safety concern for guests traveling with mobile infants or young toddlers. We recommend exercising caution and considering the suitability of the space before booking.
We adopt a hands-off approach to guest interaction. If you require additional towels, toilet paper, trash removal, or a change of linens, simply send me a message, and I will coordinate a suitable time to address your requests. Additionally, we offer a self-check-in system that allows for a more flexible arrival timeframe. While we maintain a hands-off approach, please be aware that we reside in the house, and you may occasionally see us using the back stairs (which serve as your main entrance) to access our laundry or family room in the basement. Feel free to greet us and ask any questions you may have, but we fully respect your privacy and will make every effort to stay out of your way.

About the host
Hosted by Katrina

My husband and I started renting our one bedroom apartment on Airbnb while traveling out of state. Before long, we had fallen in love with the Airbnb community and knew we wanted to take it to the next level by hosting full time.
After years of working at a wonderful property management company in town, we now own and manage our apartments and a few small boutique hotels. We pride ourselves in customer service and do everything in our power to make sure our guests have the best stay possible.
We enjoy spending our spare time with our daughters, preferably traveling, whether it's by car, boat, plane, or train.
Safe travels!
