Simply fabulous! From location to having everything you need, this house is the best to stay at if you are in the area. The owner was super friendly and helpful and attentive to all our questions! We will be returning soon.
We had a lovely stay at this property. Peaceful, beautiful views of the Hudson River. Owners were very responsive and went above and beyond. Thank you!
Beautiful house with a great view. So comfortable and welcoming. Fully stocked kitchen for those home chefs. Super close to Olana for hiking with history and City of Hudson for awesome dining and fun things to do.
House is as described, pictures don’t do it justice! Owner was very easy to communicate with and got back with us immediately when we had questions. Easy check in. Well stocked everything! We had a fantastic time! Can’t say enough good things about this place!
What a gracious and responsive host! The instructions for check in and check out were clear and the host went out of your way to provide assistance as needed. The home is cozy, perfectly located, peaceful and pristinely kept. It was the perfect backdrop to write. I finished a book proposal draft while there for a week. I’d highly recommend.
Our family of four (w/teens) recently stayed at this absolutely wonderful home while touring colleges nearby. It is in a perfect location - quiet but just 1 mile from Hudson center. And the pictures don't do it full justice. The home accomplishes the rare feat of being beautifully designed, but also very comfortable. We were so grateful for all of the care taken to make it a comfortable stay (as other reviewers mentioned, basic provisions in kitchen and bathrooms were very appreciated). It felt like we had the privacy of our own place with the convenience of being in a hotel.
Our host, Angela, was incredible. She was superb with communication and went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. She sent recommendations ahead of our visit which we utilized heavily and had the outdoor furniture placed while we were there after she saw warm weather in the forecast. She really helped make it a stay we will remember for a long time.
We will definitely be back and recommend it highly to anyone else looking to stay in the Hudson area.
We were lucky enough to spend a spectacular spring week here. Every day, the view seemed just a little different. We loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the area come alive (pro-tip: if you like to blow bubbles, this is your place). This home is so well stocked—you know that feeling when you arrive late in the day to a rental and immediately head out to the store because there’s maybe 2 ketchup packets in a drawer and a quarter-roll of 1-ply? Not this home. This home is ready for you. Everything you need for cooking, stocked bathrooms, even welcome candies and water bottles in the fridge. Sheets are so soft, there are more towels than I have at home, and they even have robes hanging in the closets. You feel like a guest not a renter. The house is private and soooo quiet, other than the occasional train horn, which I loved hearing. We had deer, groundhogs, and even some sassy wild turkeys looking in the bedroom window one morning! Communication with the owner is excellent and prompt—they even send restaurant recommendations! And yeah, you want to go the restaurants—we had some wonderful meals in both Hudson and Catskill. Caution for anyone with mobility issues: there are 3-4 steps to get in, and the staircase to the downstairs area might be a challenge. All in all, this is a lovely place to feed your soul (and your belly—I’m not kidding about those restaurants!)
This is one of the best homes we’ve ever visited. The views of the Hudson River and mountains are breathtaking. The house is perfectly designed to enjoy the views from the inside with a large window and warm fire place or outside with a beautiful patio, umbrellas, and hot tub.
We had such a great time working, relaxing, and enjoying the sunsets and wildlife (deer and wild turkeys).
We were so close to downtown Hudson that it was easy head in for coffee, dinner, and everything in between.
And the hosts were responsive, friendly, and made sure we had a great stay.
Looking forward to staying again soon!
I was so lucky to have this beautiful home this summer..
So many wonderful memories were made.
The views were majestic, the home was so comfortable and well appointed..
I can’t praise my hosts enough, they couldn’t do enough to make my stay special..
Forever grateful !
We had a wonderful time and felt just the way the Hudson Valley painters must have felt with the picturesque view of the river. Great location, just 3 minutes from town. We definitely plan to come back next year.
I can only say the experience was outstanding…
The views and sunset were spectacular.
The hosts were fabulous in every way.
The accommodations were perfect, there was great thought that went into prepping this house for us, from pillows to towels and everything in between.
Great house!!!
Modern and thoughtfully designed home perched over the Hudson.
My family and I spent a week at the house early this Spring. The house is small, but tastefully designed and decorated in a relaxing, contemporary style and is really well maintained. And the view — gorgeous. The owners were great — easy to communicate with and thoughtful.
What a beautiful home, what a lovely stay! Just got home from a week at the house and we will definitely be back. The house is immaculate, beautifully designed, and filled with light. It has all of the amenities to make the time there comfortable and smooth. Plus, the view out the picture window is mesmerizing. The owners are super responsive and made everything about the stay as easy as can be. And the house is perfectly situated atop a hill which makes it the perfect blend of remote and quiet/serene, while only being a 3 minute drive to Warren St. for easy access to all the shops and restaurants of Hudson. We absolutely loved our week there, and plan to be back in warmer weather when we can take full advantage of the outdoor space as well. We would have stayed longer if we could have! Highly recommend it!
Property was exactly as shown. Well taken care of and very comfy & cozy. It snowed most of the week and was very cold, so lots of indoor relaxing. The gas fireplace was a great feature, and we spent hours on the couch with the lovely view of the Hudson. Close access to Hudson and great wintry hikes at Olana and nearby nature preserves.
Angela & Lesly were great hosts. Super responsive and very friendly. Would definitely return.
This is the perfect little two bedroom house in the country. Modern, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen supplies for the home cook. New washer dryer in the finished basement. Great indoor gas fireplace and picture window with an amazing view of the Hudson River. Nice piece of manicured land for outdoor activities. Close to town, shopping and restaurants. My family felt right at home from the jump.
Attentive host made sure our stay was perfect.

About the host
Hosted by Angela Neil
Our family has enjoyed this vacation house for many years while living in Manhattan. The views are stunning and the house is clean, contemporary and peaceful! We love waking up to the river views, and spending evenings together watching the sunset. Its only about a mile from Warren street in the heart of Hudson city.
Why they chose this property
We chose to buy this house after seeing first hand the views from OLANA, the Frederick Church Mansion/Museum. Enjoying the home, and being able to share it with others by renting it on VRBO is the best of both worlds.
