About this property
Sunny, Spacious & Central: Bowler
Experience the comfort and luxury of a hotel combined with the personal touches and charm of a private home. The Bowler suite is a serene and welcoming space that is particularly well suited for longer stays. Our lovingly restored Hudson Milliner Boutique Guesthouse was built in 1860, the building was once used as a milliner's hat shop, and we have preserved many of its original details such as solid mahogany stairwells, stunning pocket doors with etched glass, and gorgeous hardwood floors.
The suite features one bedroom with a large living room area and a stunning eat-in-kitchen kitchen with room for 6 – 8 people. The bedroom has a queen-sized antique sled bed, a lounging area, and a designated workspace. There is an armoire with drawers and space to hang clothes. The spacious private bathroom has been renovated to combine old-world charm with a beautiful, restored clawfoot bathtub and shower. Oversized windows flood the rooms with sunshine and the 14-foot ceilings feature exposed original beams. A curated selection of locally sourced antique furniture and meticulously restored mid-century appliances meet modern conveniences such as central AC and heating, high-speed internet, blue-tooth speakers, a building-wide water filtration system, and access to washer/dryer. Special touches include bespoke fixtures made by reclaimed industrial materials, decorative floor tiles of our own design, and original artwork by us and our talented friends. Washer and dryer are available on a separate floor. As the unit is on the top floor, noise is minimal.
All guests have access to our beautiful covered greenhouse courtyard, a lovely space to enjoy your morning coffee, get work done, or indulge in a glass of wine. You can also use the BBQ to grill up a family dinner.
You won't need a car, as we're a 10-minute walk away from the train station. For guests who arrive by car, free street parking is available. If you have trouble finding a spot, we offer a private parking space for $30 per night.
Guests will have sole access to their kitchen, bathroom, sleeping and living area. Our guests' privacy is most important to us.
Hudson Milliner is centrally located on the 400 block of Warren Street in Hudson. You have a great selection of restaurants, incredible antique stores, coffee shops, local pubs, as well as live music venues within walking distance. A nature walk just north of Hudson in the reserve is just a bike- or car ride away. A little further away are our personal favorites Bash Bish Falls and Kaaterskill Falls. If you are interested in Skiing during the winter we are 40 minters or left away from 3 different ski resorts!

The easiest way to get here is by car or by Amtrak train to the Hudson station, which is a 10-minute walk from the Hudson Milliner.

Why they chose this property
Great for urbanites in need of sun, space, luxury, antiques, fine dining, nature walks & culture: located on the main drag of Warren Street, it's a 10 minute walk from the train station. Once a milliner's hat shop built in 1860, you are transported straight into another time the moment you enter. Many original details are still in place: pre-tin plaster moldings, solid mahogany stairwells, pocket doors with etched glass inlay, large mahogany framed windows and gorgeous hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathrooms have been carefully renovated to fit in style with carefully selected and restored fixtures, such as an electric stove from the forties and a refrigerator from that period as well. Add central air, high speed internet and a washer/dryer on premise: the perfect getaway.
What makes this property unique
As busy New Yorkers we understand the need for R & R. We liked the idea of a B&B, but had something a bit more intimate in mind: a romantic place, going back in time, where our guests could come into town, immediately immerse into the surroundings and also if need be withdraw and cook for themselves in a spacious retro kitchen. In another words: a romantic spacious getaway with the beauty of clean air and a country vibe along with the luxury of great restaurants, live entertainment and quality antiquing/shopping
