The area boasts some of the most beautiful beaches, a 1,000-foot-long fishing pier, great restaurants, close to the quaint little beach town, Lauderdale by the Sea, and Fort Lauderdale night life. The home is centrally located in residential neighborhood, and within walking distance to shopping, and only 10 minutes from the beach. This charming waterfront home is perfect for everyone! The home is also near main attractions such as art galleries, museums, and shopping malls. This is your own tropical paradise!

This home away from home has everything you’ll need for an amazing vacation. Private fenced in backyard and heated pool for your vacation in the tropical paradise of sunny South Florida.

Upon entering Tropic Tiki Villa, you are greeted by an open floor plan featuring view of the waterway, and the outdoor area with Tiki, lounge seating and heated pool and hottub. A perfect place for outdoor entertaining. Floor to ceiling windows let in the light, frame the views of the water, and brings in the wonderful tropical sunlight of South Florida. As you enter this home, you will truly appreciate the Florida living. The living room is equipped with sofas and a large Flat Screen TV, perfectly suitable for enjoying assorted films and sporting events. The dining table seats 6 persons, and overlooks the pool area. The open floor plan offers easy access to kitchen and dining area. Natural light creates a soft glow highlighting at all hours of the day through the glass doors.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need while on vacation and only requires you to bring food, beverages and condiments. The kitchen floor plan allowing the chef to interact with the guests while enjoying the water view through the over-sized glass sliding doors. In addition, there’s a covered outdoor area for cooking and BBQ grill.

Bedrooms:
There are 3 bedrooms with bath, and one small bonus room with sleeper sofa. The Master Bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom with walk-in shower. A small bedroom is connected with a door and furnished with sleeper sofa. The 2rd and 3rd bedroom are also furnished with one king bed and a queen bed and have private bathrooms with walk-in showers.

Pool and Outdoor Area:
Tropic Tiki Villa offer a Private Heated Pool & Lounge Area with a nice Tiki Hut and a little grassy area for your pet. This is the perfect place to spend time with family and friends. The lounge area offers covered outdoor , and features poolside chaise lounge chairs overlooking the water. .Sit back and relax, the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. This charming and comfortable vacation home rental leaves nothing to be desired. No garage or boat dock is included in the rental.

Family Fun

Beautiful back yard. Great view. Loved the Tiki bar and outdoor seating. The fish jumping in the back yard was entertaining. Great location for Shopping, beach and restaurants. We also enjoyed walking in the neighborhood down to the Intercostal waterway to see the manatee.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Hot tub was already warm upon arrival and the pool was clean and the temp was like bathwater. Very clean inside as well. Would recommend adding small bars of bath soap as an added convenience. Other than that our stay was perfect! Thank you again.

Stayed for 5 days in March. Weather was nice. Location is great. House is pretty old and could use some updating in the bathrooms and bedrooms. Kitchen was adequate. Pool was good but the hot tub was not working and the grill lacked some power.

We had a group of 8 adults stay at this property for 2 nights. The manager was nice about check in and check out flexibility. The tiki hut was nice and a good option even if it rained. It was super easy to get to CVS, Publix, etc. Only negatives we found were that there could have been more kitchen supplies and there is a bug problem. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Outside area is nice.

The outside pool area is the nicest thing about this property and it's very nice! However, the house itself is incredibly worn and the pictures on the website are much nicer than in person. We had ants in the kitchen, stains on the furniture, one of the toilets would continue to run when you flushed it, there was a big stain on the folding door in the bedroom, the air conditioning unit worked, but not up to par, in one of the bathrooms we couldn't get hot water in the shower and the shower head itself was rusted, the toilet paper holder was rusty and broken, the patio chairs were torn, and although the house was generally clean, areas like the baseboards had an inch of dust on them. . . . just a lot of little details the owners need to take care of. I do have to say that Joey from Gizmo was absolutely awesome though!!! We called him approximately three times and he responded very quickly giving us great restaurant/beach recommendations and he even brought us his personal pool equipment and fan! He said we could call him at any hour and he wanted to make our vacation great. Joey and the pool were the only reasons we stayed. Lesson learned, when the website states no refunds there is a reason. . . It's an okay house but definitely not worth the huge price tag. Thank you for a nice vacation though.

The house was very clean and comfortable. The property manager was very helpful with any questions we had. The parking was a little tight as we had 3 large vehicles but we made it work overall experience was great!

Great time!

We had a great time during our stay! The house is within walking distance to groceries, liquor store, and other shopping. We took a short Lyft ride to Anglin’s Pier for an afternoon of fun. Back at the house the outdoor space was our favorite and the pool was vey nice and warm. Ron checked on us the first morning we were there and provided great hospitality. He was also very responsive if we needed anything. A definite “stay again”!

Excellent property with perfect location!

We stayed 4 weeks in this wonderful Tropic Tiki Villa. Our stay was a great experience from beginning to end. Communication with the Gizmo Vacation Rentals was smooth. Kids really loved the heated pool and the Tiki Hut was nice. The vacation home has a perfect location within walking distance to shopping, dining et cetera. Overall we had a relaxing Christmas Holiday and we are hoping to come back in the future!

Not what we expected

The out back area with pool and Tiki bar were nice and we spent as much time outside as we could as the inside of the house left a lot to be desired. We had issues from the first day we checked in from bad odors inside the house and fridge/freezer, the 4th bedroom was not an actual bedroom as there was no door just a curtain in between the two rooms. The washer and dryer didn’t work and repair people had to come out nearly every day to try to fix the issue with no success. They replaced the washer/dryer on the 5th day of our vacation but it didn’t fit in the space and therefore prevented us from accessing the bathroom from the hallway. The hot tub was not working for our first 3 days. There were some plumbing issues as well that required repair during our stay which was taken care of but having repair people in and out nearly our entire 8 days was not as relaxing and enjoyable as we had hoped. The house had plenty of wear and tear, couch was dirty, open wires exposed on the dock, oven was in Celsius and we had to convert every time We wanted to use it, the outside gourmet grill was not working but they did have another grill available for us to use. If you come expecting the house to look like it does in the pictures you will be disappointed like we were. Again the outside area was the best part of the house and we did get enjoyment from that. The property manager did respond timely to our issues but some of the issues had been brought up in the review prior to our stay and we were assured the issues were fixed but they weren’t. We were offered compensation for next time we stay with Rental Gizmo for all of our inconveniences.

Overall a good time- but definitely missing somethings

Positives: -Maintenance folks were very helpful and communicative when we had issues. -Pool was always very warm -Paddle boards were fun -We can be a bit of a loud bunch and never received any complaints from neighbors -Tiki hut was great for when it rained Negatives: - Did not receive check in information so we had to contact Vrbo directly when I couldn't get ahold of property manager. He was very helpful when we did reach him. -Hot tub was not getting above warm for most of the days. That was pretty frustrating for us as it was one of the main selling points. Maintenance tried to help us but it was only hot 2/5 days. -No pot holders and a broken toaster. Definitely could use a few more basic items for the kitchen. -Smoke detectors were in the drawer? -Fan was broken but someone came out to fix it during the week -The weirdest one of all, was no matter what setting we tried, the dryer actually made our towels and clothes wetter. I threw towels in after it rained, and they were completely drenched after 30 minutes. We tried different settings but the same result each time. It is a nice property in a nice location, but for the price, you'd hope to not encounter these issues. Hopefully these get fixed and won't be an issue for future stays.

A+++ Vacation Home—We Didn’t Want to Leave!

My husband and I had the best time staying at Tropic Tiki Villa! We were so happy to escape the cold, snowy winter in the Midwest for a short get-away and unplug from work responsibilities. This property was the perfect place to stay. Our flight arrived several hours before check-in time, but Jack and Annika were very accommodating and told us we could drop our bags at the house while it was being cleaned and make ourselves at home. We headed to lunch at Bone Fish Grill, which is within walking distance, and by the time we got back, the house was ready for our vacation! The property is lovely, spacious, extremely clean and well maintained. Although the house was built in the 1960’s, it has been wonderfully updated with many nice finishes. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the appliances, cookware and utensils we needed to cook dinner at “home,” and there is an outdoor gas grill we used every night. The beds are very comfortable and the living room is large and has a big sectional for hanging out to watch movies or taking afternoon naps. We spent a lot of time outside by the pool during the day and in the hot tub in the evening because the weather was so nice. There is a lot of outdoor seating on the patio, and the Tiki hut is large and provided ample shade when we wanted to take a break from the sun. There is also a small table and chairs on the waterway dock that we used to have a romantic dinner overlooking the water one night. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful. There are many restaurants within walking distance, or a short Uber ride away, a large Publix supermarket nearby, as well as a convenience store that is, seriously, a 2-minute walk up the street. One day we took an Uber to Fish Peddler East—a fresh fish market—and got the best-ever fresh fish and shrimp to grill for dinner. So, to sum up our experience at Tropic Tiki Villa: The property was spacious, updated, extremely clean, and charming; Jack and Annika were a pleasure to work with; AND, we didn’t want to leave…but we will be back for our next Florida get-away!

Good, not great

The place was pretty nice, spacious with most everything one would need. The biggest issue was no hot water for 2 days. They did get someone to look at it right away who said it was fixed but it wasn't. Also, the quite nice looking outside grill is actually terrible in that it didn't get very hot so was essentially impossible to cook on it...we had to move everything inside. There was gas, it was open wide and both burners lit and on full...flames just not strong enough. Rooms were comfortable, bright and clean. Location convenient.

Not what the pictures show: Renter beware!! Owner Not to be trusted!

Let’s start with the positives – there was hot water Now let’s review the negatives – and btw, we were at the place on April 1, but this review is no joke First impressions are everything right? Well, when we pulled into the property we were greeted by a discarded couch on the driveway entrance. A shocking way to get started. Here’s a list of the things that I communicated to the owner of the house within the first 12 hours of our 3 day stay. Without options we left a day early. Ants in the kitchen Dirty and stained cushions on all outside chairs Missing burner and burner covers in grill Grill was filthy – forcing us to buy a portable one Patio was filthy – in need of power wash Thatch Tikii bar enclosure needed repair Dull kitchen knives - couldn't cut a lemon Scratched-up, old kitchen plates A kitchen table with a hole where a Lazy Susan should have been – though they tried to cover it up with a flower pot Missing or broken spot lights in pool area Shower curtain in one bathroom was moldy and was about 2 inches too short letting water run out Step up to shower was more than 8 inches high No bath mats No fitted sheets on one of the beds TV in one bedroom did not work Weak AC unit Icemaker didn’t work After speaking with the owner and sending over the above list, he agreed to reimburse $500 and had me confirm via text. We now realize this was a game to keep us in the house so we couldn't demand a full refund. No refund/credit was ever received. A maintenance guy came to look and take pictures. He then had his wife drop off some new plates, a shower curtain, throw pillows (?!) and utensils. She literally dropped them off outside the front door – didn’t come in the house to offer to replace any items. Just dropped off the boxes and ran. A few hours later we were greeted by another "maintenance" guy who pretended to fix the grill. When I noticed that he actually didn’t do anything and then questioned him about it, he barged out and started using foul language directed at me and my family. About an hour later, after the "maintenance" guy got hold of the owner who was in the area, the owner came over to tell me I disrespected "his" guy. He went on to say that based on the cars in the driveway (a Lexus and an Audi) that this wasn’t the right rental for us. He suggested I call him the next time I was in Pompano to look him up so that he could put me in something more in line with people who own Lexus and an Audi. Stay clear of this guy!

House is small.AC not working. Owner not returning call. We endup staying at a hotel. DoNot book!!!

We arrived at a very hot place temperature reached 82 degrees inside the house. We gave it couple of hours for a chance to cool down, but temperature still at 82/83 degrees mark. I called, emailed, text the owner and did not receive any responses. We can't stay at this place any longer so we end up getting a hotel for our stay. The owner finally called the next morning @ 6AM waked up my family arguing with me that he has 24 hours to fix the issue and I shouldn't turned down the AC pass 70 degrees mark. That's absurd!!! Every place I stayed at do not have any issues turning the AC below 70 degrees. The place is small and pool has debris. The outside seating is nice though I admit, but other than that it is not a nice place to stay for a vacation with the price that I paid. The owner is not responsive!!!!

Great location, Amaxing outdoor space

The house is clean, very spacious, updated and comfortable. To us the best feature of the house was the outdoor space in the back - the pool and the tiki. We aren't beach people so we spend a lot of time by the pool and this house was perfect for that.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This house was the perfect spot for a girls weekend! We enjoyed the pool everyday and the tiki hut next to the pool was perfect for escaping the heat! Having three bathrooms was amazing for a house full of girls and there was plenty of room for us to spread out! The house was also only a 5 minute drive from beautiful pompano beach and very close to some great reataurants! Overall our stay was amazing!

Great rental

Vacation Rental Gizmo did it again….great place. We stayed at Oleander House last July and loved it….Pompano Isles vacation home by Vacation rental Gizmo was perfect for our adult group (no kids). The home was clean, we had a few rain showers blow in and even though the pool guy was there twice that week it needed a skim from all the palm trees- no complaints here. The grill was perfect and patio area for having dinner outside. Vacation Gizmo suggested us to try Kaluz and 101 Ocean in Lauderdale by the Sea only a few minutes drive. Drinks were cold and the food at both were excellent. We were a bit loud and a rep called from Vacation Rental Gizmo to politely ask us to turn down the volume- we were thankful and treated respectfully. We heard about the noise ordinance and it’s not a joke especially during the week. We also received a discount for the next reservation- I guess manners do have benefits!! We love those guys over there at Vacation Rental Gizmo!

Great house

Awesome place for Spring break, Vacation Gizmo provided a perfect itinerary for downtown Fort Lauderdale and suggestions for dining. The house was clean, everything worked although the pool guy startled us a bit. We didn’t know he was coming and was extremely polite! We highly recommend Vacation Rental Gizmo and will be back next summer!
