About the host
Hosted by Amanda Krigner
I am from Michigan and I have wanted to host for years! We were finally able to find a property that we fell in love with and I am so excited to share it with others. I am very excited to allow dogs at the property as well. I love dogs and hope your furry friends have a blast.
Why they chose this property
The Dragonfly is just 8 minutes from downtown Bellaire - which is home to some favorite destinations including Short's Brewery, Bee Well Meade, and more. Just a few miles from the Torch Lake public boat launch. 13 minutes from Shanty Creek. You can also take short day trips to Charlevoix, Petoskey, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Mackinac Island, or Traverse City!
In the Summer, guests love boating and fishing on Intermediate Lake or Torch Lake. There are also several wine tasting, cider tasting, and mead tasting near the cottage - all of which are described in great detail in our welcome book! Additionally, if you are a golfer, there are many fantastic courses just a few miles away.
In the Fall, guests love cider tasting, the fall color tours, and apple picking!
In the Winter, you’ll find several of Michigan’s best ski resorts just a few miles away - guests also love ice skating, ice fishing, and show-shoeing.

What makes this property unique
We've really put a lot of thought into what would make a nice trip for people. We want our guests to make memories that last a lifetime - not worry about having enough coffee. So, our property features all the amenities you need for day to day life, as well as some fun add-ons that might help make your trip memorable.
Some of our onsite amenities include:
- A coffee Bar with ground coffee, coffee filters, coffee cream, coffee flavor shots, and sugar
- Fully stocked bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryers, and extra toilet paper.
- Kitchen stocked with essentials including pots, pans, spices, cooking oils, utensils, plates, bowls, wine glasses, champagne glasses, coffee mugs, paper towel, cleaning products, dishwasher pods, and more
- A laundry room with essentials including laundry detergent and dryer sheets
- Beach towels, extra linens, extra blankets, extra pillows, etc.
In addition to the essentials, we also have some fun things that might help us stand out:
- A kayak - it's brand new!
- A pedal boat - it seats four and is a blast to take on the lake.
- four adult sized life jackets and two children's life jackets
- two hammocks set up by the water
- yard games
- a record player with records! The record player also connects to Bluetooth or the radio
- books and board games
And because we love dogs so much we have a dog bed, dog bowls (which you can keep), dog toys, and a leash.
Lastly, each guest will receive a special welcome basket with some of our favorite items from around the area.
