About this property

SeaGlass Cottage: Magical, Private Oceanfront Retreat in E. Boothbay! Dock & AC!

Welcome to SeaGlass Cottage, a magical, secluded get-away in East Boothbay!
** Please read full description for access info**

Sitting directly on the edge of Linekin Bay, at SeaGlass you will be surrounded by stunning beauty and immersed in nature. It is not unusual to see seals, osprey and eagles. You are so close to the water, it feels like being on a boat, and the western exposure provides you with absolutely breathtaking sunsets.

There is an awesome 200' long deep-water dock with a large sundeck and sitting area that has a swim ladder. Bring your kayak! At low tide there is a large private rocky oceanfront area (this area is underwater at high tide so please don't think white sandy beach), that is great for beach combing, digging for clams or catching crabs. Bring your water shoes!

The cottage itself loaded with charm and filled with nooks and crannies. It features an open floor plan with high pitched exposed beam ceilings, and is covered in wainscotting. SeaGlass was professionally decorated and features high quality cotton bed linens, with duvet covers. There is also high speed internet, WIFI and a 32' HD TV, and a heat pump/mini split AC system.

The bedroom is on the second floor and is an open loft. It is accessed by a small spiral staircase. It has beautiful pumpkin pine floors, a high pitched ceiling and great water views.

There is also a screened-in porch which provides another cozy spot to read a book or surf the web.

This location provides an incredibly peaceful retreat to get away from it all and relax, surrounded by some of the most beautiful views anywhere. But, if you are looking for more action, it is only 4 miles to Boothbay Harbor, which is home to many fine dining and casual restaurants, shops and galleries.

**Access - There is a walk of about 85 yards down a grassy hill from the parking area which is near the owner’s house. We have hand carts to assist with luggage and supplies. The cottage is not suitable for those with limited mobility.**

*There are mostly high ceilings, but the indoor shower and screened-in porch are a little low and may be uncomfortable for people over 6’3” tall.

Peaceful Retreat
My husband and I spent 6 days at Sea Glass. The cottage is tucked away in a beautiful spot with amazing views from every vantage point. Tastefully decorated with colors that immediately quiet the mind and invite relaxation, the furniture is very comfortable and there is quite a bit of space to move around and find a quiet nook to read or reflect. The outdoor spaces are equally inviting and the beauty of the ocean and its wildlife make this a magical place. Pam and Kelly made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. We didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning very soon.

About the host

Growing up in Ct, I spent alot of time vacationing in Maine and always wanted a home here. I absolutely love the area and am so happy to share this beautiful part of the country with my guests.

Why they chose this property

I love the peace, serenity, and the interaction with nature. There is an osprey nest on Perch Island, and many types of ducks, gulls and birds that feed here. The tides are amazing and the view changes constantly. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking and the only other houses you see are across the water. I also like the fact that the waters of the bay are very functional and usable. One can boat, fish, swim and kayak. The dock is huge!

What makes this property unique

The dock here is really like a pier. It juts out into the middle of the cove to the deepwater, so we don't have to worry about timing the tides for boating kayaking or swimming. The views are just spectacular!
