Charming Waterfront Cottage

Keeper`s Cove is located just over the swing bridge on Barters Island. Here, the salty Back River tidal waters meet the Sheepscot River offering lovely views and an abundance of seabird sightings. Seals have also been known to make an appearance. Keeper`s Cove is very close to nature preserves, walking trails, waterfront vistas, Mill Cove Lobster Pound, Back River Boat Launch, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and is a short drive to the many shops, galleries, and restaurants of Boothbay Harbor.

Keeper`s Cove is a charming 1,078 sq ft waterfront Boothbay cottage with 2 bedrooms on the second floor, 1 1/2 baths (1/2 bath on the first floor), and has been fully updated inside and out. Inside, you’ll find a roomy well-appointed kitchen with custom cabinets, honed granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. This property has a regular drip coffee maker.

There is a winding path to the private waterfront dock -- optimal kayak or small boat launch at high tide. Don`t have a kayak? Contact Maine Kayak in downtown Boothbay Harbor and they can deliver a kayak straight to the property.

A Sea Maine team member will meet you upon check-in to deliver keys, give a tour of the home, and answer any questions you may have.

After booking, you’ll receive a message prompting you to complete a short verification process through our guest portal, powered by Enso Connect. As part of this step, you’ll have the option to either purchase a low-cost damage waiver or provide a refundable security deposit. This is required to finalize your reservation and helps protect both you and the property during your stay.

IMPORTANT:
To ensure peace of mind during your stay, we offer two options for damage protection: a small, one-time non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver (our most convenient and guest-preferred option) or a fully refundable Security Deposit, returned after your stay if no damage is reported. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be prompted to complete this step.

Beautiful property

House was beautifully decorated and well stocked. Garden and views were gorgeous. Very quiet and a short drive to town. Maine Botanical Gardens are just down the street!

This was our first time staying in Boothbay. We loved our time on Barters Island. The house is very comfortable and clean. The dock and grounds are lovely. We rented kayaks and enjoyed exploring the area around the island. We visited nearby land trusts: Porter Point, Ovens Mouth, Oak Point Farm, and Florence Perkins Homestead. We recommend lunch at Newagan Inn and Cozy Dockside in Southport. Property managers were great, responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Wonderful week!

We had a fabulous time at Keeper’s Cove! The location was close to all Boothbay has to offer, but far enough to feel quiet and relaxing. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you need. it was a wonderful week!

Beautiful house for exploring Boothbay region

This is a beautiful house for exploring the Boothbay Regio. Very close to the Maine Coastal Botanical Garden and beautiful hiking trails like Owens Mouth. The house has everything for the perfect lobster dinner, to bring home a steamed lobster or to steam your own.

Beautiful location and home

We had a great stay at Keepers Cove and enjoyed our time in Boothbay (our 7th visit). The house has everything you need for a relaxing visit and is well-equipped for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner! A great spot for coffee or a drink on the deck with a beautiful view and lots of birds to spot. Wendy was super sweet at check-in and communication with Sea Maine was easy via text. We LOVED the heated floors in the upstairs bathroom and the bedrooms were comfortable. We're a family of four with two kids under 3 and they enjoyed the home as much as we did. We would love to come back.

Keeper's Cove is a gem

We loved our stay at Keeper's Cover in Boothbay. The house was beautifully done and extremely clean. Judy was fabulous to work with in reaching out to us to let us know we could check in early and to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed spending our mornings drinking coffee on the wonderful deck looking out at the water and relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely house in a great area.

What a gem!

This cottage is as cute as can be. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen, as we cooked local seafood each night. The decor is just adorable- we especially enjoyed the tidal clock on the stairs going up to the bedrooms! Our favorite part was waking up early and going down on the dock with a cup of local coffee to watch the fog, or the tides come and go. Bonus: we bought fresh eggs a few doors down, and garlic from a neighbor around the bend. Star gazing is wonderful, right out your bedroom window! We didn’t want to leave. 10 out of 10!
