About this property

LakeHaus - Stunning Scandinavian Simplicity!

Take it easy at this unique and stylish getaway! It's modern contemporary design and simple Scandinavian architecture make it a great place to sit and enjoy solitude or a romantic weekend or boating on the water. Completed in July of 2023, the LakeHaus is just 40' from the front lake, where you can enjoy boating, canoeing, fishing, kayaking or paddleboarding. The 16' vaulted pine ceilings add depth and awe as you overlook the lake! Upgraded appliances add to the comfort of staying here.

This is brand new construction with two ensuite bedrooms, tastefully apportioned and just feet from the lake. The kitchen, dining and living rooms all direct your view to the lake with 16' high clear pine ceilings. The primary bedroom has a 9' opening (with accordian style door) overlooking the fireplace in the living room and also a large sliding glass doors overlooking the lake. Pontoon boat available for rental.
Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire house. No sharing the house space here. In addition, they can make arrangements ahead of time to rent the pontoon boat to use on the front lake.
Other things to note
This is rural country area (a good 15 minutes from the grocery store and 7 minutes from the nearest convenience store) with wildlife all around including deer, rabbits, eagles, turtles, fish, etc. While the cabin is modern and refined, the outside is rustic and natural, un-manicured. There are dining options available in nearby towns about 10-20 minute drive. The back of the property also abuts another lake which is great for kayaking and canoeing and leads through channels to two other lakes where there are no cabins or homes. It reminds me a lot back there of the boundary waters canoe area.

Close get away

This property was very nice and not far to travel to from the twin cities MN. Being able to be lakeside with the option to rent the onsite pontoon was perfect for a summer week with the family. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for the 4 of us (2 couples). Host was very responsive during our stay.

Beautiful cabin, very clean and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and you will find everything you need in the kitchen to cook meals. Conveniently located with the nearest grocery store 12 minutes drive and several restaurants/bars even closer. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I purchased the cabin in 1998 and rebuilt new on the existing foundation, completing it in July 2023. We enjoyed bringing our kids and their friends up over the years and hosting family and friends on the 4th and other weekends.

Why they chose this property

The lake is clean and deep. Its not so big that you have boat traffic all the time. Actually, during the week the lake is very quiet and you can go a day and only see one or two boats all day. Weekends it is busier.

What makes this property unique

I think the style of the architecture and my wife's tasteful decorating set our cabin apart from the rest! The large windows facing the lake make it a great view from the Master Bedroom and living room.

This is rural country area with wildlife all around including deer, rabbits, eagles, turtles, fish, etc. Why the cabin is modern and refined, the outside is rustic and natural, un-manicured. There are dining options available in near by towns about 10-20 minute drive, including the Pourhouse in Siren and Northview Drive Inn in Webster. The small town of Hertel is about 4 miles from our cabin and has a restaurant and convenience store. The back of the property also abuts another lake which is great for kayaking and canoeing and leads through channels to two other lakes. It reminds me a lot back there of the boundary waters canoe area.
